I find it silly when emerging artists try to convince the audience that they're "not copying the artstyle of an artist who recently got famous within the community". I've seen several cases of those and while it's just part of the mandatory experience of forming your own art style through taking parts from the art of others, it is rather goofy trying to deny that the water isn't see-through when you look at it
