So I'm rereading Trials of Apollo, bc it's been a while and I never finished the series, and I want to catch up to the current stuff. And when I read it the first time, I guess I listened to the audiobook, but I forgot about that until very recently.

So while I'm reading the physical copy, the narrative voice in my head sounds a lot like Dorian Storm. And I'm like... that's weird, why is my brain giving Apollo Dorian's voice? Oh well.

And so I kept reading, but I kept hearing Apollo's voice as Dorian. So I was like... let me check on something. I honestly didn't even remember that I listened to the audiobook at all, much less who read it. But apparently it was narrated by none other than Robbie Daymond. And I listened to it way before he came to Critical Role, and I had no idea who he was at the time. So this was wild, that I somehow remembered that without actually remembering it. Brains are weird.

This is a minor note in a cacophony of dysfunction, but Wei Wuxian thinks Jiang Cheng left him first. He thinks Jiang Cheng abandoned him and Yanli in the middle of Wen occupied territory and went back for his parents’ bodies without him, either because he thought he’d stop him or because he didn’t trust him to help or because he blamed him for their deaths in the first place. Wei Wuxian thinks that’s why Jiang Cheng got caught and was tortured and lost his core, and why everything that followed played out the way it did.
