@pensivespacepirate @3584-tropical-fish so! there's a skill in fallen london called Monstrous Anatomy, which is... essentially what it sounds like? it can be 'learning about the anatomy of monsters' or 'becoming more monstrous, anatomy-wise' or both! it's a fun skill. you can raise it up to 5 by default, and then you can raise the cap up to 6 and then 7. You do this via two laboratory experiments, one of which involves studying a.... light-warping albatross. At the culmination of this experiment, you learn how to (briefly) emit light from - I think your throat? I can't quite remember the text. But it's pretty cool, so once Chiral reached Monstrous Anatomy 7 I decided to make it canon that it can just. emit light! mostly from the eyes, but anywhere really. they're bioluminescent! it doesn't come up very much because I always forget.

What are y’all’s thoughts on tumblr fics and prompts showing up on Tik tok?

I’ve seen more than a few of mine on there and on the one hand I don’t like that I wasn’t asked before it was put on a different platform. I know that once I put it on here it’s out there but it’s kinda like reading a fanfic that’s just one of my prompts word for word with no mention of where they got the prompt from.

On the other hand I love that more people are able to enjoy what I’m writing and love reading the comments.

Additionally, how the fuck are they choosing these and how do they work so fast?!? I posted something here and saw it on TikTok 2 days later.

Side note: I genuinely cannot get mad about this though because this is exactly how I found out someone wrote a fic based on one of my fics! I was so excited to read it after a really shitty day

I had a dream where an evil insect who could paralyzed me and try to kill me was tormenting me

I had to grab it by its legs (wich where a bit crablike in texture and consistence) and break it

I successfully broke 2 out of tons of legs it had before it stung me and started paralyzing me but somehow I was able to fight off the paralysis and crumble it entirely
