People who refuse to engage with Tamlin's characterization post TAR because they think all of MAF is a retcon and the whole abuse storyline just a lazy and cheap narrative tool to write him off as a love interest are also the same people who insist on writing think pieces about how Feyre is Satan's spawn for sending Nesta to the HoW with Cassian. When anyone who's even a little bit familiar with SJM's work can tell that similar to the domestic abuse storyline, the whole intervention is also just another lazy plot device that Sara used, so she could write Nessian with the same "trauma -> sex + training = healing" formula that she uses in pretty much all of her books. Like idk but if the fandom can allow Tamlin so many fuck ups because "it's lazy and cheap writing" (which, in some cases, is true) then why is Feyre never given the same grace who is also the victim of the same garbage writing choices in ACOSF?
