When Time Stopped - Part 4
I started writing this, expecting to write some fluff but here have some angst instead. As always, OCs belong to the amazing @lumosinlove.

Sirius led the way in as everyone piled in behind him, “Well rookie…” He said, his hands on his hips. “You look like shit.”
Rolling his eyes, Remus gave his boyfriend a dirty look, “Tact, Sirius! We talked about this.”
Leo let out a laugh, wincing as the movement hurt his chest, “It’s fine, Loops. And thanks for the compliment, Cap. I’m feeling pretty shit.”
“What happened, Leo? Bliz just said you’d had an accident, didn’t really go into specifics.” Olli asked from where he was leaning in the corner.
Letting out a soft sigh, Leo told them what he remembered, “Honestly, a lot of it is a blur. I just remember the light turning green and pulling out, and then everything went black. Fuck, my car is probably totaled.”
Finn squeezed his hand, “Your car is the least of our concerns, Nut. We can get another car, we can’t get another you.” He murmured, pressing a kiss to the younger boy’s knuckles.
Leo smiled softly, “Thanks, sweetheart.” He said, squeezing Finn’s hand.
The boys talked for a while before there was a knock on the door, the doctor came in, “Hey guys, sorry but I’ve already let you stay 20 minutes past last call for visitors. Leo needs some rest.”
They all started getting up, saying their good-byes. Remus ruffled Leo’s hair gently, “Take care of yourself, Nut. Get some rest. Let us know if you need anything, all of you.”
Leo nodded, “Of course, Rem.” He said as Remus led Cap and the rest of the team out of the room as they all called out good-bye, closing the door behind them.
Resting his head back on the bed, Leo looked at his boys. He already knew the answer he was going to get but he had to try anyway.
“You guys should go home too, get some rest.” Leo said, and already the other two were shaking their heads at him.
“We’re not just going to leave you here alone!” Logan argued from where he stood at the foot of the bed. His arms crossed on his chest as he turned to face the monitor, watching Leo’s heart rate again.
Leo tried to get a smile out of the other boys, “I’m just going to sleep. You're just gonna sit and creep on me all night?”
Finn frowned, “Y-You don’t want us to stay?” He whispered, looking down at the scraped up hand he was holding.
“Finn, babe, you know that’s not it. I just..” Leo was cut off as the nurse from earlier came in.
“I’m sorry to interrupt. But we have a policy that only one visitor can stay overnight.” She said as she checked Leo’s vitals.
Logan and Finn both looked at each other, neither wanting to go home and be alone.
“You both should go.” Leo stated. It didn’t really sound like a suggestion. “I don’t want either one of you to be home alone. I’d rather both of you were home.”
The nurse glanced up as she fixed Leo’s IV, giving him another dose of his pain medicine, “Visitor hours begin again at 6am, so you can come back then.” She said before walking back out.
Logan looked away, grabbing his jacket from the chair, “Fine. Fine we’ll go. Be back some time tomorrow.” He shrugged, pulling it over his shoulders as he walked towards the door..
“Don’t be like that, Lo.” Leo pleaded, but the door shut before he could finish his sentence.
Tears welled in his eyes as he looked down at the blankets, letting out a broken breath.
Finn stood up, “We’re just worried about you, baby. Don’t worry about him, he’s just upset because there’s nothing he can do. We’ll be back tomorrow.” He pressed a soft kiss to the younger boy’s hair.
“I love you, we both do. We’ll be back first thing in the morning, I promise.” Finn whispered, squeezing Leo’s hand once before letting go.
“I love you both so much.” Leo slurred out, the pain medicine beginning to hit him as he started dozing.
Fixing the blanket over him, Finn walked out and closed the door behind him.
Sitting in the waiting room across the hall was his other boyfriend, who was trying to keep a stoic face as he stared at the floor.
“Loops was still here with Cap. They’re gonna give us a ride home.” Logan muttered, his eyes not leaving the floor.
“You shouldn’t have just left like that.” Finn snapped, arms crossing on his chest.
Logan sat up, rolling his eyes, “He obviously didn’t want us there. There was no point in me staying in there!”
Finn shook his head, “He’s hurting and he doesn’t need you making him feel worse like that. You didn’t even say I love you to him!”
“Well fuck, Finn. I’m obviously just an asshole!” He said, throwing his hands in the air as he stood.
Letting out a frustrated groan, Finn ran a hand through his hair, “I didn’t fucking say that, you’re putting words in my mouth now! Why’re you acting like this? Why won’t you just talk to me?” He exclaimed, voice cracking as he tried to hold back the emotions that threatened to overwhelm him.
“Hey, what’s going on? Everything okay?” Sirius asked as he walked up with Remus.
Finn quickly wiped under his eyes, “Nothing, we’re fine. Just decided that Logan was going to go home while I stay here.” He answered, pulling the sleeves of his hoodie over his fists.
Logan’s head snapped up, hurt flashing in his eyes before the walls went up, “Oh did we?”
Remus glanced between them worriedly, “I thought you were both going home?”
Finn raised an eyebrow at Logan, crossing his arms on his chest.
As Logan opened his mouth, an alarm sounded over the intercom.
“STAT TEAM TO ROOM 283, CODE 4! STAT TEAM TO ROOM 283, CODE 4!”
Finn’s heart dropped as he turned to face Leo’s door.
Room 283.
