THE HEART OF ELI LIEB . Eli Lieb has long been a favorite of ours. He writes great songs, is an accomplished musician, produces impeccable covers, and he releases honest videos that represent positive same sex relationships that often make your heart melt. And yes, we’d be lying if we didn’t admit that those Eli eyes are the dreamiest. . But what strikes us about Eli most is his heart. You hear it in his voice and in his music and lyrics. There’s an undeniable passion that is never exaggerated or sensationalized for the sake of production. It’s just a pure, unassuming fire and romanticism that is truthful and real. His catalogue is rich with many standouts, but you really get a sense of who Eli is as an artist early on from the video and single for his popular hit ‘Young Love’. . And then there’s his heart as an advocate. Eli has been involved in a number of advocacy projects over time including releasing the song ‘Pulse’ with Brandon Skeie (Colbein) in support of the victims of the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting. And now from his latest album “The Nights We Lived” comes the single and video for ‘When You Need A Friend’, written in memory of a young transgender boy from his hometown and high school who took his own life. Eli teamed up with the Trevor Project to go back to his school to speak to the students and provide support. The video documents that day. . And in that you truly see how Eli Lieb takes that heart he puts into his music and brings it out to offer to the world. He’s an artist that gives himself to his listeners making it so easy to connect with him and his music. And it’s just another reason why he continues to make us smile. That, and those gosh darn dreamy, dreamy eyes. Sigh. .
