Because @theemptyquarto and @wheresmyfroggy are holding me accountable: after falling asleep at the pathetic time of 8:30 last night (wtf, body?), I finally got off my ass this morning and submitted a couple of queries. :) 

And now I will get said ass moving and go to my real job.

What zoo was that at? I was a keeper for 7 years and none of my zoos had that rule. What if the whole carnivore team had an injury? That was common since we always got scraped up. Did your zoo then have bird keepers trying to take care of carnivores?

Hey! Lincoln Park Zoo, but this was back awhile ago.

Oh man, I wish I could tell you. Honestly, the keepers didn’t talk to the docents much while I was tehre, except in passing. I got the impression we weren’t encouraged to keep them from their jobs. 

One keeper broke her arm, and could still work, but just not with the carnivores, as I recall.

Pretty sure it's not; I've checked the integrity of the bed and boxspring and both are good and none of my roommates have complained about random welts. The majority of them have appeared during the day when I'm wearing socks and shoes. When I was over at Mike's this past weekend I had two more appear overnight, but I was wearing socks since my feet tend to get cold at night.

Rando Fact: I never enter a multiple of five on the microwave.

Microwave fact: I'm so lazy i never take my finger off whatever number im on, just keep pressing until i get the minute mark. In for a minute? Nah: 1:11. Two? better make that 2:22.

It's ok, not terrible but not great. I can definitely tell that Dr. Pepper would go better than Pepsi!

About the watch Love Actually for the first time. I convinced my husand to join me. I've been skeptical, but the sarahs just have such good taste, I'll watch it. Depending on how I feel, there may or may not be Love Actually spam later tonight.

I am so very sorry for your loss. We lost one of our sea lion pups this weekend and I can definitely say I feel your pain. I feel like losing an animal never gets any easier, but I do try to cherish the time I had with them as much as possible. <3

I'm so sorry about your sea lion pup, it's especially heartbreaking when they are so young. It's a comfort to know that we were a part of their lives, even if for only a small amount of time.

it looked like a harbor seal - that would have been my guess. I'm so sorry that this had to happen, and I hope things get easier in days to come. Loss of a beloved animal is never easy :( Hang in there - lots of love

It'll be hard not seeing him swimming around in the pool, but I'd like to think he's in a better place, happy and eating lots of fish :)
