I was just recently pondering over the word حامل القرآن which means “Carrier of the Quran or one who carries the Quran. And it was then I realized that to carry something means to never put it down. Simple I know but not as much as you think especially if you’ve ever tried memorizing the Quran. You see, memorizing the Quran is one thing,retaining it is a completely different ball game for most people. And in order to retain all those pages or chapters of the Quran you’ve memorized you must continuously go review them again and again and again. So حامل القرآن is not only someone who carries the quran physically but also spiritually and mentally as well. And so the Quran would then be with this person at all times, in his heart,in his hands and in his life. How beautiful.
