People forget a lot that transmasc/transfem/transneu don' necessarily mean trans man/trans woman/trans nonbinary/gender neutral, n that honestly annoys me many, many times.

when i have created a man so fine in my story, i can’t write a romantic scene during my ovulation phase. I can’t write about him because I want him but I made him and now he won’t touch me. BECAUSE HE IS NOT REAL. WHICH IS SOMEHOW WORSE.
I have no problem with hardcore fans of ships for virgins or people who don’t know how to have sex, but I do have a problem when 90% of the fans of those ships spend all their time bashing characters I like. For example, I have nothing against Jily per se, but I have a lot against the Jily fans who spend their lives bashing Snape because, honestly, it drives me crazy that a bunch of virgins with hetero-basic tastes who never get past missionary think they can have an opinion on things they don’t understand. I mean, tell me what could someone who spends all their time projecting themselves into two teenagers getting married and having kids before 20 possibly understand about any nuance in a character’s psychology? Just shut up already, guys. Keep your fantasies for your mono-orgasmic hetero-basic selves, but stop talking about things you have no clue about it’s fucking annoying
idk what the issue with secondary (which Adrien is not), side, or even bit characters having massive plot important parts is for some people is, it happens in media all of the time.
secondary characters have huge plot importance and interesting backstories all the time, but the only time i see people claiming someone else should’ve been the main character is when the lead is a girl. so i think there must be some unexamined internalized misogyny at play here, that we are so unused to seeing female leads that people like anon are quick to jump to “the boy should be the main character” instead of just accepting that their fave isn’t the main
I have a lot of thoughts about the ending of Etoile, under a cut for spoiler reasons but also bc this probably makes no sense if you haven't watched:
Ok so the thing with Nicholas waking up is dumb & contrived not because he woke up, that's whatever, it's television, it's very effectively emotional which is all that matters, BUT they use it to create a lot of conflict that just....isn't? Like, a) this man was talking about retiring BEFORE he barely survived a massive medical event, maybe he is not going to want to return to work, let him go off to Connecticut with his dog, but also b) if he does want to come back for another season, that.....actually solves everyone's problems too! It means you can advertise it as his last season, Jack has a bit more time to get used to the idea of him retiring, AND Cheyenne can go back to Paris and do one last season there instead of retiring abruptly at the height of her career, plus advertising it as her last season will sell a lot of tickets and help Geneviève adjust to the idea. She's gotta know the end of Cheyenne's career as a dancer is coming, she's 34, she wouldn't even have to fuck up to blow out a joint/tendon after 30 years of intense ballet - let her go out on a high note instead, do every piece she's ever dreamed of, sell out every show, and prepare for her next chapter. So - Nicholas waking up isn't a source of conflict, it's a RESOLUTION of conflict, but no one brings up any of this because it seems more exciting to have everyone run around all worked up regardless of how empty it is.
I had a good time with the show! I am bummed it was canceled! But especially since the very last five minutes felt so nonsensical to me, ugh
It's difficult for me to put this into words, but I think being aro can feel quite alienating when you're a girl. Not because of exclusion, but because of expectations. I noticed this in the past month while frequenting a new environment that's mostly men and just a few women. I get along with these women, but I felt like there was a missed layer of connection. Now, seeing it from the outside, I honestly think I messed up by not talking about romance/relationships when I was asked. I think that my not saying a lot was not taken as "she's just not interested" but more as "she thinks she's above all that" or "she doesn't trust me enough to open up" and, honestly, it's not the first time it happens but I never manage to catch it before i ruin it.
And this is the comic I'm talking about (if you want to see the full content of my sagau self insert, it's right here)
I've been thinking. Regarding about myself being transported to sagau and it's an imposter au, I got this thought. (still on rubedo au) What if reader just freaking use Teyvat to their advantage like:
Like seriously. I may be weak in calculus, but I still passed and graduated from my stem strand because I dominate over chemistry and biology. The sht we could make. Landmines, tanks, and possibly even nukes.
We can plant landmines around establishments undetected if Teyvat makes underground tunnels that can open up whenever and wherever we wish.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my tedtalk.
