okay, so here are my thoughts on what are the common themes of all the Milgram pairs:
(keep in mind I'm fairly new to the fandom, so it's this feels obvious/ I'm missing some info from like, additional interviews or smth, let me know!)((also also, in case that's not clear, I'm writing this post after Futa T3 but before Mu T3)
- Haruka and Yuno,
both of their "murders" stem from trying to escape loneliness/ doing whatever they can to get attention. due to how society failed them, they became scared of being 'abandoned' and tried to fill the void. additionally, both of them seem to have regrets such as "the person whose life I ended had such a bright future, they deserved to live a lot more than me"
Idiots
Pairing: Marc Spector x f!reader, Steven mentioned and makes a tiny appearance
Background infos and summary: You and Steven have been in a relationship for a while. Marc leaves for a mission and only leaves a note.
Warnings: Grammar and other mistakes, english is not my first language, Kissing
You were pissed.
crackpot theory hour part 2

Amatonormativity and Media
Ok. So I haven't posted any of my season 8 watch notes on SG1 because....well I lost my motivation after getting to a certain episode. Don't worry I will get back to it eventually. But I suppose I can give a sneak peek into my thoughts on season 8 by discussing episode 7 (Affinity).
Long story short Affinity centers around Teal'c getting an apartment off base for the first time. During which he befriends a neighbor who is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend. Teal'c brings questions of Taur'i relationships to Sam and Daniel who each have their own views on the matter.
TLDR (for the massive wall of text you are about to read) “Almost all cultures put a significant pressure on single adults to form bonding pairs.”- Daniel Jackson.
dumping all my thoughts on billy cuz im so happy im so interested im thinking
i feel like people are forgetting that billy woke up in williams body with no memories...period. no william OR billy memories, just the name tommy and the ability to read minds.
and you might think: oh well that kind of narrows things down for him, right? but lets look at what billy knows BEFORE going to meet ralph in the parking lot:
his name is william kaplan, but after the car crash he never recovered those memories
he came out of the car crash with the name tommy and the sudden ability to read minds, but nothing else
this happened after the supposed anomaly in westview, which was supposedly an avengers training exercise gone wrong
he found a sigil in his pocket after the crash
a rune was seen on the dome in westview
thats it.
like thats literally all he knows. because hes living as a normal citizen of the mcu, so he doesn't know anything about what wanda did, much less that she was involved in westview PERIOD. wanda seemingly died under mysterious circumstances, and billy wouldnt know about her connections to spellcasting as that was explored, say it with me, in wandavision.
so what he gets from this is:
he died for a split second after the crash, and something from that anomaly caused him to come back as something, or someone, different, with only a single name and superpowers he can't exactly explain.
after that, he goes to find a resident of westview, not only to figure out what happened, but also to figure out if his experience was common: did the anomaly cause others to gain powers or become different as well.
this is the story he gets from ralph, and all the info he has from there going into the shows main plot:
wanda put the town under some sort of spell, placing them as characters in some "sick sitcom plot"
another witch, agatha harkness, was also there, and possessed ralph as well, but is still living in westview as a somewhat normal citizen
wanda created children from magic, billy and tommy (the speedster and his mind-reading brother)
after the hex collapsed, wanda left and later died, the twins disappeared, and are mainly rumored to be gone like the rest of her creations, so basically, non-existent
from there, billy figures out who he is, the reincarnated soul of billy maximoff in the body of william kaplan. he knows wanda is dead, vision was sold for parts, but that tommy is still out there, in some way or another. after digging on agatha, he finds out about the witches road, what you gain from completing it, and now were back to the mainline show.
so this might sound kind of insane as we know everything, but billy might think that wanda...didnt care about him? or tommy?
like all he knows, is that wanda left him and tommy to their own devices, and was willing for them to?? die?? and never looked for them afterwards?? like yeah?? thats sad?? oh my god??
so there are some important factors now that we can look back on previous episodes:
billy did not know he had powers outside of mind-reading until after alices death+agatha's comment set him off
billy does not know, still, what happened to him in westview as, well, billy maximoff
Billy was not completely lying the whole time, only in a lot of small pieces. he knew what a sigil was, just not what the sigil did to him. he didnt want to go on the road for power, but he still found that along the way, etc. he generally just knew more than he was letting on
so he wasnt exactly a "mastermind" behind it all, which i love. he might not have been completely honest, but he was sincere.
also...and again this is fun because billy doesnt know this, but the road is for billy. of course its for the coven, but this is BILLYS coven. everything is, at least a little, catered to billy.
ill probably add more but i love what they did here
for both of them if you want: 💐📺🍴🌿💋🏠💬🍵
YESS LET'S GO, lots of info so everything's under the cut:
The badge of the Heroic Order. They are personalized. Valen carries his on the left shoulder, underneath his fur cloak.
Valen - Headcanons .............................................................
I like the apparently ditched background info for Valen (see this post again), but in case you don't know it, here's a short summary:
Valen's born into the ruling family of Stoutstone Isle but has never taken interest in that heritage, often running away to explore the surroundings and mingling with the common folk and soldiers, joining them at their campfires to dream about stories of heroism, all for the girls. xD He kept his true identity hidden but it was revealed when he wanted to formally join the army (navy, in this case) at age 16. The soldiers now treated him differently, particularly as he was given a fake superior title. In anger he demands to go through the training properly, but his grandfather (and ruler) denies equally angrily. So Valen throws out his rank and walks off, leaving the island behind. He continues as a mercenary, traveling all over the Empire, until ... (my headcanon starts here) ... being dragged into the Heroic Order by Hogan. Since then he's a member of the Heroic Order and Solitaries, living in Holistone.
I am placing this isle in the rough region of north/west Great Britain. Same weather, same grey tones everywhere, same accents… xD I don't think of his family or home as a pretty castle full of glitter and pomp. It is just as gritty and dirty as the rest of the island, dark rugs on the walls and all wealth hidden behind thick grey stone walls, stashed away inside trunks. It's probably VERY far from Holistone, being on the other side of the Lightbearer Empire.
His dad is some low-level admin under his grandfather's rule. He might never rise to the throne, though, giving way to others to administrate the island until Fay's take-over.
When he was 8 years old, Valen's mother died shortly after giving birth to Fay. She [Valen's mother] always encouraged his son to explore the world with his own eyes, instilling in him the belief that actions speak louder than words or ranks or titles. He then begins to "run away" regularly from home to seek out the truth outside the castle walls.
Valen never went to a school (properly). He had private lessons, of which he sat through enough to know the basics. Most knowledge is self-taught, by reading or talking to people. This means he can have entertaining bouts of ignorance! xD
