Y'know, since it's Halloween I may as well post this as it's a bit fitting

This is the FOURTH iteration of a little drawing I did back in 2016. The first was just lineart, the second and third were digital paintings, and THIS is pen+ink and inkwash together

Against my will, my reader character in life worth living has developed a gender of their own and is now fem lol

I keep circling on buying things that are lgbt themed, esp genderfluid/nb themed, except like 98% is super cookie cuttery and it’s all “this item with the pride flag” on it & honestly I hate all the options out there. I don’t know if it just means the demographic is small enough that there’s not enough folks buying/designing items but as a whole, I feel super ostracized and lonely? Either the crowd I find tends to be super androgyne/femme-based (& I am NOT this way), or its just... It doesn’t quite exist? “Merch” doesn’t exist barring extremely generic, super boring stuff, or resources as a whole are rare (my therapist was like “dude, I don’t really have resources; I’ll look into it” when I brought up wanting to connect/figure this shit out) & just.... what seems predominant, I don’t fit...

And let’s be real; a lot of what I do see, like performative ways of dress, it doesn’t work for my job (which is: I wear khaki, hiking boots, and there’s no point to make up which would melt the fuck off in a second, you’ll be covered in dust & smell like animal anyways); I can’t wear jewelry either.

I guess my point is... I feel awkward and lost, and a lot of stuff isn’t geared in a way that works for me.

san (likes to lay down on my bed to cuddle and chat, gives gentle pats to my plushies, always tries to leave the sheets organized)

magnus (randomly barges in to rant for half an hour, sometimes takes one of my books without telling me which leaves me frantically searching for it only for him to return it a couple days later with even more dog ears than before with an apologetic smile)

perty (sits on the edge of the bed, rarely lays down, can usually be convinced to rest his back against the headboard and maybe even close his eyes for a little while)

lorgar (sits very politely on the edge of the bed or a bean bag next to it, sometimes stays for a sleepover)
