you know, i’ve seen people talking about gunpowder tim being persephone in “ulysses dies at dawn” but how funny would it be if jonny was thanatos?
he’s not killing people for ashes or for the city in any regard, he’s just having so much fun depopulating the lower levels he can get his hands on. the ferrymen fucking hate him for giving them so much more work to do and ashes pretends to be mad at him, but is just having the time of their life watching him absolutely fuck shit up, delivering plenty of brains to the acheron for them to use. my guy really saw the minotaur fall and was like “damn, guess i gotta pick up the slack” (/j)
no clue about how the other olympians specifically feel about him, but i like to believe that, in accordance with greek mythology, they don’t like him lol. but i feel like they also have no clue who he really is at first, so until they find out, they dub him “thanatos” (they’d find out at some point since they issue a warrant for his arrest in the album art with jonny’s actual name on it, but it’s fun to imagine)
