having multiple hobbies as someone who has BPD and is unmedicated is really what saves me most of the time cause once i start obsessing over someone i just turn that obsessive energy to the shit im passionate about. Open a book, read at least a chapter, redirects my mind and eventually i'll want to read more. Open my sketchbook, start drawing or painting and eventually it calms me down and I just keep drawing. Open up my laptop, start typing, putting my obsession into a story and a character helps redirect all that. Energy in motion can be redirected with a lot of emotional discipline
