So I panicked and showed her a drawing of a cat.

Since it’s a small, family-run company, things get way too quiet sometimes—quiet enough that I can draw short comics or illustrations during the gaps.

But my family and my partner don’t really know what kind of comics I draw.

Well… to be honest, I actively hide my drawing that way.

One time my mom suddenly said, “What are you drawing?! Show me!”

So I panicked and showed her a drawing of a cat.

She looked at it, said only:

“Not healthy cat!!!”

…and then walked away.

I still don’t really understand what happened.

so after months of applying to jobs i can say i finally have one (interview went well and actually got a call back instead of getting ghosted) and now i am employed….i already miss unemployed life (i dont start until the 28th)

ALSO just realized this means i cant just drive to my unemployed friends house and go on cutesy hangouts💔💔💔

look. look. not to sound rude, but carrying the harps around is like carrying an ipod. it's like a portable radio. it's like having your little phone and some headphones to go with them and a nice full library of illegally downloaded songs. if you were going out into the wild all alone to save your cousin or travelling with your family on a desperate bid to take back your home or parting the world forever wouldn't you bring a source of joy and entertainment? why is it always 'and he has a harp!!!!' this is like seeing someone going for a long commute on public transit or going on a long, long walk alone and going 'and he has a walkman!!!' like it's strange (gonna be honest I'm still not 100% sure what a walkman is. something to do with portable audio) it is a harp. it is not that heavy. I know I can't begin to get people to realise that music is magic and magic is music and that's 100% true and not a joke and taken directly from actual, real people's overlooked cultures but surely I can get you to understand that carrying around musical instruments on journeys is not a strange thing for musicians to do and for thousands of years people also have carried musical instruments into battles? 'why would he bring a harp?' why wouldn't he bring a harp? it's a long journey and music is beautiful
