Entry No. 2 There’s something Whiptail won’t tell me. She thinks she’s hiding it well, but I can tell she’s jumping around the topic of the next poison. Vulture wants to sell it to Blister; I overheard it myself. He said something else too, but I couldn’t make out the conversation without getting closer. Cobra definitely would’ve realized I was there if I had tried. That dragon is sharp. Vulture isn’t. That sands-for-brains didn’t realize I was there. I suppose I should be grateful. I had the perfect opportunity to kill him, but he supports Whiptail with his wealth, and other SandWings don’t exactly appreciate her. Whiptail says she didn’t need other dragons to survive. I think she needs me to survive. I’m going to convince her to leave with me soon. I’m almost six, and I will be able to carry her weight soon. I’ve been practicing a lot, and I’m plenty strong. We’ll be happy together, far, far away from the Scorpion Den.

ITS LIZARD TIME BABEY

Specifically, Common Spotted Whiptail time. Wow! I love these guys. They're so different from the green anoles (whom i love) I usually dont see these guys until they run. The top two (THE CUTIES!!) were about a foot from me in the grass before they suddenly ran and spooked me. I snuck around the tree and got that cute pic. The second one kept getting spooked down my little walking trail. Not the best picture of a whiptail ive ever gotten, but good enough for me. The last one was on a little piece of concrete just in front of a cabin. They tend to hang out in the flowerbeds right in front of the cabins, where a toooon of bugs and butterflies hang out probably also a really nice and cool place to hang out to escape the harsh sun.

Whatever the occasion of catching these beautiful lizards, I LOOOVE them. Ive only got to hold a whiptail once. They're too fast and I'm too slow.

The Six-Lined Racerunner (Aspidoscelis sexlineatus) is a species of Whiptail Lizard (family Teiidae). Juveniles are known for having a blue-ish tail, which fades as they age. The species is named after the 6 yellow or green stipes found on the sides of the body, however one subspecies, the Prairie Racerunner (Aspidoscelis sexlineatus viridis), has a 7th stripe. (x, x, x)

Common Puerto Rican Ameiva Pholidoscelis exsul

Found in coastal habitats of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, and the British Virgin Islands. Ground lizards forage for insects and small fruits and scavenge for dead animals or trash scraps in urban areas.
