Nice collection of old bottles from Distilleries of the past, most of which from Pennsylvania when the state was one of the top producing Whiskey areas in the world. . The owner of these bottles hosted his annual Whiskey Tasting last night. He hosts this tasting annually, each year with a new theme. It’s legit, there are video presentations, passouts, plenty of whiskey themed food, and even more whiskey. . The focus this year was on both the aging process and finishing. Along those lines, we sampled the @JeffersonsBourbon Wood Experiment set (five different finishes). We tried @ManatawnyStillWorks White Whiskey unaged vs. it being aged for two weeks in a two liter new oak barrel as well as four weeks and six weeks (amazing how much it changes in two week increments). And if those 9 examples were not enough, we also had @MakersMark 46, @AngelsEnvy, and @WildTurkey Longbranch (first time I’ve had it, and it’s not just all hype, Longbranch is good). .
