Why cant white women have dreads? I mean I get people say its appropriation but is it because they're specfically called dreads or is it just rude to have that specific hair style? Is there a respectful way to wear matted hair for non-black people? (I'm sorry if this is offensive I'm not trying to be, I just want to understand better)

Because it's cultural appropriation, which is racist. And the fact that you admitted it's literal matted hair, which is NOT 1) good for your hair at all no matter your race and 2) how Black people's locs are, should tell you that it clearly wasn't made for Whites and that they shouldn't do it.

And no, there is no "respectful" way for Whites to appropriate my culture or any other non-White culture. Whites have a million and one cultures to choose from, and yet they choose to steal from ones they aren't a part of. It's ridiculous. Please just celebrate your own cultures for once instead of stealing mine, I am b e g g i n g.
