Woolies
Fucking what?
Seeing the comments getting mad at the striking woolies workers. Seeing people say “they’re going to ruin Christmas.” Seeing people gleefully comment that robots will take the workers jobs etc
I used to work in the Woolworths bakery and usually the loaves are above weight, because they have to pick out a random selection of each kind every day to weigh. The size difference probably comes from the different abilities of different bakers.
However please do take a scale in and weigh the bread because if they're caught selling underweight bread its a huge deal cause false advertising and all that. If it's just one loaf then they can probably say they missed it but if its all of them then go for the kill.
Thanks for the insight! I will say that the loaves are never labelled by weight, so the customer doesn't have any indication. The few times I've used the veggie scale, the difference has been significant. We're talking 70-90 grams. Bread is going to weigh differently depending on how long it's baked and how much water evaporates, and it's reasonable to expect some variation because dough is kinda sticky and hard to be precise with. But this is a consistent issue. Next time I'll take some photos and document. But either way, it's not the individual bakers fault and I'll try to hide the label codes or something so it can't come back to bite them.
