Controversial Opinion number A BILLION

I am not a slave owner. I have not lived the life of someone who has beat nor mistreated a person of color, I have not lived the life of someone who claimed to own another person. I have lived my own life.

Stop calling me a colonizer. The people who came to America or any other land where the people were slaughtered? That’s a colonizer. A person who colonized a place.

Stop calling me a racist. I do not willingly belittle my people of color colleagues and accept them as my friends, family, and my fellow Americans. I think that we are all equal- I try every day not to judge by skin color and hope for a world where one day that doesn’t have to be a constant thing, but more something of second nature to treat one another as equals.

Just because I am white does not make me a racist. I am not a stereotype. I am not odd, neither, there are plenty of good people in this world who are white.

Just because someone is black does not mean they conform to their racist stereotype either. Whoever is reading this right now, I hope you have a good life. One without prejudice. One where you can raise a child- or not- and know that their skin color and your own will mean nothing. That what will really, REALLY define you is you. Your likes and dislikes. Your eyes. Your laugh. Your talents. Aspirations.

There are bad people in this world and not all of them are white. You don’t have to be white to be racist.

You are not defined by your race. Break boundaries. Don’t allow history to repeat itself.

Friendly reminder that it’s okay to be male. It’s okay to be cis. It’s okay to be straight. It’s okay to be white. It’s okay to not experience dysphoria. And it’s okay to not be disabled, physically or mentally.

And if you have OCs...

It’s okay for them to be male. It’s okay for them to be cis. It’s okay for them to be straight. It’s okay for them to be white (if they’re human, of course). It’s okay for them to not experience dysphoria. It’s okay for them to not be disabled, physically or mentally. And it’s okay for them to not experience tragedy or hardship.  Suffering or trauma isn’t the only mark of a good character.

However...

It’s not okay to hate someone for being male. It’s not okay to hate someone for being cis. It’s not okay to hate someone for being straight. It’s not okay to hate someone for being white. It’s not okay to hate someone for not experiencing dysphoria. And it’s not okay to hate someone who doesn’t share or might not understand any disabilities you might have, physical or mental.

And if you see someone with OCs...

It’s not okay to hate them for being male. It’s not okay to hate them for being cis. It’s not okay to hate them for being straight. It’s not okay to hate them for being white (if they’re human, of course). It’s not okay to hate them for not experiencing dysphoria. It’s not okay to hate them for not being disabled, physically or mentally. And it’s not okay to hate them for not having some kind of tragic element in their backstory, or if the person who owns them doesn’t want them to suffer.  Suffering or trauma isn’t the only mark of a good character.

Don’t let the Tumblrinas make you stop being you, and don’t let them influence your creations.  You rock, and anyone who shits on you or your creations is just salty at you for being you.

White boys are wonderful. Black boys are amazing. Hispanic and Latino boys are great. Asian boys are awesome. Middle Eastern boys are fantastic. Indigenous boys are fabulous. Boys of all races are beautiful.

The idea that all white people don't have culture is so stupid. I think in a lot of cases, outside groups like to lump all the different ethnicities and cultures that we have into one thing, we're all white so they all see us as just one group. It's especially annoying because then they turn around and demand not to be generalized, despite generalizing all white people. We're expected to know everything about their cultures, if when we talk about them we ever make a mistake or forget something we're often scorned or lectured on our "ignorance". This is incredibly hypocritical because most of them do not care to learn or even acknowledge our cultures. White people have culture, we have many unique and beautiful cultures but no one really cares about that. Often we're told that any culture we do have is stolen from colored folks or is somehow problematic. Celebrate your culture, don't let other people stop you from loving where you came from. Preservation of these cultures is essential for the future of the white race, so protect them.
