margaret of york sketch, circa 1460s
i messed up a bit on her dress, but since this is only a sketch i'm not overly worried lol. idk if i will ever finish it, but i do enjoy sketching certain women from certain time-periods. :)
@lightbeforerain @dark-brotherhoe tagged bc ur my friends :D (if this gets annoying lmk)
brief description of who margaret of york *was:*
"Margaret of York (3 May 1446 – 23 November 1503), also known as Margaret of Burgundy, was Duchess of Burgundy from 1468 to 1477 as the third wife of Charles the Bold, and after his death (1477) acted as a protector of the Burgundian State. She was a daughter of Richard, 3rd Duke of York, and of Cecily Neville, and the sister of two kings of England, Edward IV and Richard III. Born at Fotheringhay Castle, Northamptonshire, in the Kingdom of England, she died at Mechelen in the Low Countries." - Wikipedia
She is remembered for her intelligence, political acumen, and as a patron of the arts and religious institutions. Margaret played a key role in supporting pretenders to the English throne, including Perkin Warbeck, who challenged Henry VII’s reign, claiming to be Richard of Shrewsbury. Her actions made her a formidable opponent to the Tudor dynasty, although with her death, this was ended - Maximilian of Austria no longer had to worry about her 'schemes', as Mary Tudor the Elder was betrothed to Charles V and Henry VIII to Eleanor of Austria. (my own brief biography)
Philodendron White Princess
White Wizard Propagation update: I plan on cutting off the old leaf when I tend to my plants tonight. I've noticed this as well, but there is some pink in my White Wizard stem! I did prop it in a different cup than the one White Princess prop I did, but they both sat together in a tub of vermiculite. I wonder if some genetics were mixed somehow?
Does anyone know?? Edit to add the mother plants: First two are the White Wizard
Ive been MIA - but my plant buying habits certainly have not been 😍
Yandere king Henry VII (king henry viii father) and Favorite Mistress who the one who give birth to king henry viii and not Elizabeth of York.
I think the reader meets King Henry Vll shortly after the birth of Princess Margaret. Henry falls in love the moment he sees her. He had never felt such feelings against Elizabeth. The reader remains indifferent to the King's courtship. She says she doesn't want to be a nest destroyer. But Henry does not give up on his love. At first he tries to get your readership through the settlement. But when that doesn't work, he doesn't hesitate to threaten and get his hands dirty. The reader is forced to accept the King. Henry makes your reader his legitimate mistress. From their union, they have healthy children named Henry 8, Isabella, Mary and Katherine. Henry makes famous all the children born of the reader. He is protective of them. All children born of the reader will be legitimate heirs. No one can harm or disrespect their family. After the death of Prince Arthur, Henry becomes the Crown Prince.
