River-Blest Willow Wand (Sold)
This is a piece I finished recently, made using a length of wood gifted to me by a River Spirit that I work closely with.
The wood literally dropped into my hands from an old White Willow that hung over a stretch of the River we had waded into for the sake of propitiation and spiritual congress. The limb had, seemingly, been damaged in a recent storm and was finally snapped entirely when a group of birds attempted to settle upon the twisted branches. While I was thoroughly grateful to receive it, I could feel immediately that it was meant for someone other than myself, and as I’ve worked on it since, I’ve come to firmly believe that the River meant for it to find a specific individual, through me. Hopefully, that individual sees this post.
Once the wood was cured, I proceeded to thoroughly smooth down the surface, making sure not to alter the natural, fluid shape of the specimen as I did so. After this, I went through the process using a ritually enlivened Lime Stain to whitewash the wood, before anointing it with a personally formulated Blest Oil and suffumigating it with a mixture of Meadowseet, Pearlwort, and Blue Lotus petals. When all this was done, I sealed and glossed the wood with multiple coats of polyurethane.
Pricing for this wand is negotiable—particularly if I am led to believe you are the intended recipient of—so if you find yourself drawn to this piece, please feel free to reach out. 🤍
