I was not in charge of the distillery. That was Kerba and then Berse. I am not the person still alive with the most experience there. That is Polpum and Rum. I am just the person who kept going to Zuste and Seba complaining that this or that potion or its fumes was poisonous and I thought we should try harder to avoid it. Most of the others will tell you that we are hard to poison and they are not wrong. If we make a mistake in foraging we may be ill but we usually recover well and quickly. I know this.

After Kerba died Seba and Zuste agreed that shifts in the distillery should be shorter and Tsiru got permission for another air shaft to be opened. It was better after that but the problems were not gone. I am baffled that Tsiru let his daughter work there.
