Hot Hands
So, I remembered a game I used to play in high school that could lend itself easily to whumpy contexts. The game is called hot hands and basically everyone puts their hands on top of each other in a pile. (Can be played with both hands, but usually played with each player’s dominant hand.)
The person whose hand is on the very bottom removes their hand from the pile and slaps it on the top. Hard. The player whose hand was on the top cannot shout or flinch at the pain.
Then the next person whose hand is on the bottom does the same and again and again in a cycle. If you cry out or flinch or withdraw your hand, you lose. Your objectives are to: slap the hand on the top as hard as you can and endure the pain silently when someone slaps your hand.
Now that I’m reading this, I realize this sounds borderline masochistic, but this was a pretty fun game.
Whumpy implications: maybe the team is playing the game but tensions are high and someone accidentally slaps too hard, breaking someone’s hand. (Bonus points if the two people involved hate each other’s guts. Double bonus points if the one getting hit is the stoic one but this time they yank their hand away and scream).
Altight, for you anon, and also because this little thing plagued my mind today out of the bottoms of my memory.
It's a short little game I played in 2016. It's incomplete and it will probably remain as such.
You are a boy waking up in a cage on a lab, and you need to escape. You meet a headless cat who befriends you and aids you.
Takes 15 minutes or so.

The Evil Within is currently free on Epic Games. And on 26, The Evil Within 2 will be as well.
Misfiction is a free jrpg game developed by Hatoge.
This game is simply awesome when it comes to the whumpy material. Nothing gory or graphic happens, but you do play as a man named Rylan trying to escape from John, another student at your university who kidnaps you after you turn down his romantic advances.
Several times you’ll encounter him around the mansion as you make your way out of it, and his dialogue is great intimate-whumper material. The art is also very nice.
There is also an optional romance path that is rather sweet (Not with John, btw).
It takes around 30min~1 hour to complete. Gameplay consists of chase-scenes and puzzle solving.
Can be played on browser or on computer.
cw: kidnapping; intimate whumper; restrainst; threats of violence; some implied homophobia at the end;

Cursetorn is a visual-novel style resource magament game made by Puma. The game is not complete yet. It’s currently free to play.
In it, you play as a doctor trying to keep both you and your patient alive, as your patient is slowly consumed by an unknown desease.
It’s a pretty challanging game, currently only having an endless mode and not a story mode. There are a few interactions you can have with your patient, and more have been added on the latest update, but it’s still pretty limited - I’m figuring you’ll have more of that when the Story Mode comes out.
As is, you can only play trying to manage the resources and keep him alive as long as possible. You have to explore, find medicine, treat him and keep him company with the limited time you have, as well as balance it out with upgrades you can get by the fireplace.
Since it’s a loop, the playtime can vary a lot depending on what choices you make. I haven’t made past the 18 night yet, and I’m watching the game to see when the story mode will come out, as it seems very interesting. Also the patient is a cutie.
cw: body horror; tryphopobia; torture; jumpscares; flashing images; sickness/desease;

There is nothing visually whumpy, nor is it the whumpiest on this blog, but there is something unsettling about it. You are a guardian angel trying to take care of a human you took interest in, guiding his choices.

You get a lil guy to take care of, like a tamagotchi. If you quit they die. They know they will so they beg, cry and desperately try to entertain you so you don’t. And if you try again, you get a differnt lil guy :)

There isn’t a whole lot to do during this game, but since it’s a moral puzzle about killing it or not, depending on if you leave the game, you might want to leave it on for over 24 hours
