The lack of resolution of Samira’s character arc is gonna haunt me… like wtf was that ending??? Why did I believe they’d at least have the decency to care about her character enough to make sure her exit made sense, especially after dropping the bomb that Supriya would be leaving for season 3. I was so happy I finally found a show with characters that resonated with me, only for it to turn into the most Robby-centric season ever, being cruel left and right, and then… idk. Why did he believe in everyone else BUT Samira when we’ve seen what she’s capable of throughout the seasons?
Why have her ask Dana after Abbot for a letter of rec if you’re never gonna bring it back up? And then not even have her ask him directly so he could start repairing the damage Robby did? Why have Al-Hashimi believe Samira would be better off in geriatrics rather than the ER???
Sorry, I just can’t wrap my head around why every other flawed character in this show is somehow suited for the ER except Samira. Maybe it’s me and the reason was there and I just didn’t see it, but it hurts my soul to have this brilliant character written off just because “it didn’t make sense plotwise.” Well no shit it wouldn’t, you didn’t give her a plot, ffs.
