i've started a new save file in pla for the purpose of compiling all the minor npc names and dialogue from the major settlements, and noting changes over time, because i have a normal amount of interest in pla trivia and minutia, and one thing that immediately jumped out to me that i didn't notice in previous go-rounds b/c i probably wasn't paying too much attention:

the protagonist's room has visibly been previously occupied.

even upon your first arrival, there are strings of veggies and two pairs of sandals hung up around the hearth. there's a survey tips notebook that looks to have been haphazardly thrown onto the end table. mismatched dishware and bottles stacked up on the shelves. a shirt hanging up on the wall you can't wear. most striking to me are those two glass jars full of pretty rocks that have been left on the windowsill. investigating them gets the comment that "someone" must have found them and collected them, "...but they're just plain old stones."

it's honestly always been sort of weird to me that in jubilife, this developing town where everyone's constantly commenting on how scarce resources are and how tough life is, there was just this entire spare lodging available complete with furniture and food and they were all fine with letting some random survey recruit use it as their solo personal quarters. but if that room was recently deserted, that might actually be a pretty good explanation. leaving just the one question,

whose was it, and what happened to them?

#the nemesis speaks #pla analysis #i see 2 main options that are mostly based on other hcs #but also on the fact that it's specifically a Survey Corps room (from the notes on the table)#1. this is where the fortunes lived when they were still in the team and their departure was recent enough that nobody's cleaned it out yet #2. that's actually technically cyllene's room it's just that per I'm Miserable Ignore The Smile she's moved out of it and in with lav #but then of course there's the option 3. a former survey recruit lived there and they Died and now nobody will touch it bc it's haunted #which is why it's available and they throw you at it like ''here this idiot can get haunted we don't care''#anyway this runthrough is also a rei protag bc i need a postgame rei file to preview outfits on. that's the only reason.

concept: ram kissing bheem on the cheek every chance he gets and it drives evryone crazh

After everything that happened, Bheem needs constant reassurance from Ram that Ram still loves him and will stay with him (cause this idiot thinks Ram hates him for leaving him on the execution day smh) but initially Ram wasn't sure how to show his love to Bheem in front of everyone. Till now they have lived alone with maybe just Babai showing up, but now they have to deal with both the village and the tribe.

So Ram finds a way to show his love by kissing Bheem's cheeks! It's intimate yet not too much to make him uncomfortable. This was before he got comfortable with everyone being around them. Now he doesn't care much for how people will take it, he might as well make out with Bheem and no one will bat an eye but he knows how much Bheem loves it when he kisses his cheeks. It's their OG way to show love.

Even after years passed by, even after Bheem knows Ram is his soulmate and will never leave him, Ram still kisses his cheek to say ✨I love you✨. Everytime he finds Bheem doing something, he goes and kisses his cheeks and Bheem breaks out in his gorgeous smile and Ram's cheeks hurt as he smiles so widely and brightly seeing his Bheem.

Bheem's heart fills up with warmth and love everytime Ram does it, he never thought someone would love him like his Ram does. No, no one can love him like his Ram does.
