Happy Pride! I got to walk Wichita Pride Parade with these amazingly wonderful people for the second year! My favorite part of the parade were the parents with the “Free Mom & Dad Hugs” signs. The support of friends and family that get what the whole point of this parade is about really had me in my feelings! And to see parents with these signs reminded me of my own parents and the love and support they continue to give me. Such joy and happiness and acceptance and respect and love. Also, shout out to this work family at XY Bar! Y’all are a bunch of real ones! Here’s to three years of fully living in my truth. I know some folks aren’t in the position to be out, and that’s fine for I don’t know their situations.
