Ysayle wig WIP
the wire and packing tape method is working great! I just wish I'd made the base structure a little narrower as gluing the hair on adds bulk
I learned of this method from a video on instagram by celestiallfae.studios. I'm using tacky glue diluted with water (should be smooth but not thin) instead of uhu glue, and a hairdryer on the low setting to help it dry.
I started by gluing wefts carefully removed from the wig to cover the tips of the extensions, where the hair still attached isn't long enough to cover. I reccomend staring at the top with some thicker/less diluted glue to hold the weft in place and working your way down once it's secure. Don't forget to flat iron the wefts first so they're smooth
to attach the extensions to the actual wig I just sewed them on around the wire at the top- after checking the placement by pinning them in first
