k hear me out w/ this one-

im watching wilburs rust video for the first time, im a day late but shut up, and heres something i noticed:

so wilbur, or elodie, rather, this whole thing could be debunked because of the existence of elodie, but lets ignore her for now(ily elodie please)

so wait, elodie edited for soothouse, yes? and now she edits for wilbur? so they dont put the colorful, bouncy captions on everything, just like, the extra funny bits, so obviously tommy gets a good amount of captions.

so here’s the part i chalk up to elodie: wilbur’s captions are grey, probably like that cause that was his color in Soothouse and thats how Elodie was used to editing it + thats how Wil was used to seeing it. 

and here’s the part i chalk up to wilbur: Tommy’s captions are like a turqoisey tealy color. not a color i would ever associate with tommy? people would usually do red, or something close to red. maybe a blue for his eyes but that’s a strech. but THIS color, it’s a color i associate w/ wilbur. w/ his whole brand.

yknow like. the color he uses on everything. as a part of his aesthetic. at first i thought he used it just for the aesthetic, but in one of his streams semi-recently, he said that that color specifically is his favorite color, and thats why he uses it a lot.

so, for tommy’s unique captions, instead of using a color that people would recognize him by, like red, like they did w/ wilbur and grey, he used his favorite color. 

look at me shuffling for crumbs of affection between the 2 of them. but like. this could very well be a subconsious thing? or i could just be fucking missng them idk.
