The Church of Lushotology

Warning: mentions of dr*gs, bo*ze, liquor, things similar to that

The Church was established in 1981 by romance novel writer Hal Don Burre. Burre was curious about how non-toxic human beings are despite all the pollution, poisonous fast food, and other toxic ins to truly live on this planet. With how much waste the planet is filled with, he decided why not join it? One day he met with a famed artist, Patrick Nagel at a bar. While ordering, Hal couldn't decide on what to order as they all "looked so yummy and delicious" according to the website. So he asked the bartender to pour all the liquor into one glass, calling it the "Long Island Ice Tea."

When he drank it he then went into a dr*g induced coma where he envisioned the Church of Lushotology and wrote their own bible calling it "Intoxication is Intoxicating." But, that wasn't the only thing he envisioned. Burre saw in his vision the beginning of the world and it's end. Initially, humans were ruled by an evil alien named Penu (Pee-yoo, yes it's pronounced like that) who was sober and stated by the website "made the universe not drink of that yummy bo*ze that was readily available." Soon he was overthrown by the people who made "Bo*zebots" which are the ones shown in the music video of "Joe Robot." The robots poisoned Penu and imprisoned him in a volcano of farty gasses (ok bro).

Yesterday's Findings 7/24/26

O m gee, whoever wrote the lore/story for this band needs to be studied 😭😭 Anyways, I spent the day just going through the official website of The Network using the Wayback Machine to find some, I wouldn't say lost media but something like that. Archived stuff is what I meant. I set the date to March 27, 2004.

When you open this version of the website you are greeted with a cool intro of The Network and their logo while having some of their songs playing in the background for a moment. The screen puts all the tabs and good stuff to look at; photos, The Church, Tracklist, old merch, etc. Most importantly the members in the middle with short descriptions when you click on them.

The website was fairly simple and had access to stuff you want to look at unlike some other webs where you have to secret puzzles or look into the coding of it. One tab that interest me the most was "Church" obv refering to The Church of Lushotolgy their fictional religion/cult. It mostly talked about the history and "Hal Don Burre" the founder of the Church. I'll go over the history of it on another post. I have it written down on my notes (Yes I've been taking notes on this like I'm at school lololol) and typing it all out on a separate blog. The rest of the website is all on your own ig, I will be making more blogs covering some theories I made, info, etc.
