Will Fitzgerald
Will, talking about Sam: That kid is going places. Will: It might be to prison but he’s going places.
Wip of a diviners poster redraw I’m going to color digitally when I have the time.
So a while ago I did this project for The Diviners, where part of it was drawing a poster. I never got the project back because of good old COVID, but a couple of days ago I found some of the writing for said project in my files and tried to recreate the poster to the best of my memory.
From left to right the characters are Uncle Will, Jericho, Sam, Evie, Isaiah, Memphis, Theta, Mabel, and Sister Walker, with Naughty John in the middle.
This poster is for the first book, since it’s the only one I’ve read, and because of the amount of characters I tried to narrow it down to the main characters with povs that show up frequently in just the first book, so that’s why characters like Henry and Ling aren’t here.
The Diviners by Libba Bray
4.5/5
This is definitely one of my new favourite books. I was so intimidated by how many pages it was because I expected it to be an overly drawn out story that would put me to sleep in five pages, but I was so wrong.
Will: There is a strict no-animals policy at this museum. Memphis: Okay. Will: Except for Theta's pet cat. Sam: And Jericho's high horse which occasionally makes an appearance.
Evie: Old people are so dramatic Simultaneously: Sister Walker: Who are you calling old? Will: I am not dramatic!
Jake, in the pool: I'm living my best life! Rotke: Will's drowning. Jake: This isn't about him.
