It IS funny that Moxley keeping the world title in a briefcase for months was lampshaded as a heel move, but Orange and his pals keeping their belts in backpacks is face territory. I guess they do get them out a least some of the time

Kenny says Don has a 'siren song' and apparently they had some sort of private 'celebration' with almost no-one else present when Kenny won the world title the first time, and I didn't catch much else

'There's no more goodness in my heart - only greatness' was a hell of a line

'Cheeky slag' also fun

Also I know omegaverse isn't canon in AEW (or not fully at least), but Will saying he and Kenny are both 'alpha males' when he's Kenny Omega and literally standing in front of a huge omega symbol was very funny to me. Hope that goes well for you.

Buddy Matthews was tweeting earlier that he's cleared to wrestle again, and 'the Devil' signed off on it, and now Brody and Bandido are getting mixed up with the DCF hmm 👀

We learn more and more and more and more and more about Don and Kyle's relationship every week

Excellent match between them and Willow, Hyan and Maya. I love when they do the thing where everyone does a signature move against someone else and they all slowly knock each other down. I assumed Mercedes would win in her hometown, but it was still a great time

Another fine moment in the saga of Bisexual Billy, for those who don't know, was the time he posted a clip of a match where he countered someone with mouth-mist by kissing the mist out of their mouth and spraying it back at them, and commented on it "The day I knew I was Bi Curious"

Thinking about Will not using the tiger driver...not to make everything about MJF, but I think it is interesting Max didn't really fight using a lot of his most effective tactics either, when he fought Hangman earlier this year. He didn't use what we all know is his most powerful finishing move: hitting someone with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. His match with Hangman was pretty clean for him - and Will didn't go to the full, legal extremes he could have either. Maybe they were both underestimating Hangman, with the run he's been on - but it's an interesting parallel either way.

One of my favourite things about Will Ospreay is that people seem to think he started out in wrestling and then started to do flippy stuff and more and more risky moves to make a name for himself. But in fact, he started out with dance and trampolining (and an interest in wrestling around the same time, I think?), and when he got more directly into wrestling he found he could do a bunch of moves other wrestlers couldn't and that helped him develop a USP for himself and his style. Hence why his jumps and flips look so good - he was trained in 'form' first of all <3

Will Ospreay seems to really enjoy crawling and writhing, and I love that about him

If House of Black mist both Will and Jamie Hayter I might get the Evil Essex team of my dreams

The flub of Buddy Matthews' name undercut Will's 'admiration' of him a little bit....but it does seem like interesting timing, compared to the Gabe/Greg thing Kenny just had with Gabe Kidd. Especially given the end of the show

Also, Anarchist Will, saying Buddy and Brody 'don't need a leader' 👀 ALSO more interesting after the ending of the episode

I don't care for Darby or Darby storylines at all, but I have to say Ospreay's a lot less upset about his fate than I thought he'd be

There was someone in the crowd with a 'Dangit Bobby' King of the Hill sign for when Bobby Lashley won

There was someone in the crowd cosplaying Don Callis

There were people behind commentary overwhelmed with joy that Bobby was beating the shit out of Mark Briscoe

It was in many ways a beautiful crowd given that I kind of found their cheering a bit lacklustre

Also, Tony Schiavone is apparently SUSPENDED for comments about njpw commentary

I have no idea what to think about all that by the way, it seems like a coincidence for there to be 'heat' when we just had the AEW-GCW thing...but I also thought the Punk and Elite stuff was too ridiculous to be true when it happened, so who knows

For a minute there I thought the (only) women's match would be the main event, but I forgot they'd rather let a 'founding member' talk at the end

I remember Kenny saying he wanted to be a good guy if he came back, so his fans wouldn't only remember him cheating to win the world title from Jon Moxley, and now he has an entrance that makes him seem like a demon coming from hell

But he did (/does?) enter BETWEEN the tunnels - suggesting he's neither a face nor a heel. And it's also the way the Bucks, and Okada, enter the show

I don't super love the 'I wrestle ill and injured, there's no point to my life if I'm not wrestling so I don't mind if I die in the ring!' promos, even knowing they're deliberately hyperbolic

I knew Don would be in there, I knew he'd have something to say

It's niggling at me how much Max's outfit tonight looks like the suit Don wears these days, but I'm sick of noticing little details at this point

Guys, you don't understand, Ospmega is a pairing that plagues me almost as much as CMJF did and MJoeF does, I might not be well over this

And, as ever, I'm also interested in the parallels between Max and Will Ospreay (which I feel like they deliberately set up during their feud). The guy who's betrayed pretty much everyone he's ever been close to, even to the point of owning other people's betrayal of him at this point, vs the guy whose friends just keep turning on him
