Psithurism - Bill Cipher
Psithurism : A low whispering sound, such as the rustle of leaves
Cassandra was not a fan of being the last one in the office. All of the lights could be turned on and off remotely except the lobby, which meant she had to make that stupid, not at all, but unnecessary walk from the light switch to the door. If it was up to her, her valet escort would start in the morning and then extend until the minute she arrived home. Of course, then she’d have to see the valet’s stupid face all day, and that was a no.
“So I need you to reverse whatever engineer the light switch to turn off without me there. Are you component enough do that?” she asked Bill. “Can I do that? Lady, I could do it with my eyes closed.” And that was that conversation last week. And now, on the night in question as Cassandra was walking through the lobby confidently, she hoped she could trust in that cocky, nerdy, idiot’s technology skills.
Except the lights shut off while she was in there. If you asked Cassandra if she was scared, she’d slap you but mainly because if she was so on edge that every sound could have sent her screaming. And that’s what it did. She could faintly hear a rustle like the brushing of fabric you could hear when a person was walking. “Who’s there?! I swear when I find you, I’ll ruin your life!” she screamed, trying to orient herself towards the exit. She paused briefly and heard someone in close proximity whisper, “Who turned off the lights?”
The lights switched on suddenly to reveal Bill in front of her. Cassandra let out an exasperated yell and threw her bag on the floor before pushing Bill, though she wasn’t strong enough to actual move him. “William Meyer, you entitled idiot weak little boy, how dare you!” Bill laughed and put his hands up. “Relax, lady, it’s just a joke.” “I don’t joke!” she yelled in retort before grabbing her stuff and storming out.
