I've always been rather fond of this little dive in Stryker, Ohio. It's trackside on the NS Chicago Line and I remember when the place was open regularly. I'm not sure it's closed for good but it was when I took this photo. I'll bet the place has an interesting history and I'll also bet the beer was cold inside. It was probably frequented by many a railroader and on this warm June day, I might have even been tempted to stop in for a brew and maybe a train or two.

Edward Henry Dietsch, son of Fred and Louise (Umberhaum) Dietsch, was born 14 Nov 1865 in Toledo, Ohio and died 1 Mar 1916 in Saint Joseph Township, Ohio. On 25 Dec 1888, in Williams Co., Ohio, he married Anna B. Suffel, daughter of Jacob “Jake” and Mary (Scheurrman) Suffel. She was born 28 Apr 1867 in Edgerton, Ohio and died 27 Aug 1943 in Saint Joseph Township, Ohio. They are buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. They had four children: Frederick Jacob “Fred” (1889-1959), Edward Henry (1899-1957), Ruby (1900-1901) and Thelma S. On 1 Jun 1920, in Adrian, Michigan, she married Daniel Percival “Rusty” Bishop (1900-1981). They are buried in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity, Ohio. They had four children. That "M" in the road (which looks like a "W" from here), right in the middle and a few feet due south of where I'm standing, is the Michigan corner. Michigan extends to the east (left) and to the north (toward the bottom). Indiana is on the right, and Ohio on the left, to the south. (It's actually an Ohio corner as well, but not Indiana because the entire right side of the view is Indiana.)
