"There was only one way to stop that organiser."
"Murder?"
"Muscle is muscle; use it to turn a buck, and you mignt as well go all the way. For fifteen years I kept the union off your back and you never asked me how. All you did was grab the benefits!"
Remembering actor Willis Bouchey (May 24, 1907 – September 27, 1977)
The character actor appeared in over 150 TV shows and films, including The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, The Big Heat, and The Twilight Zone. He was one of the most frequently-seen judges on the bench in Perry Mason; he appeared in 23 episodes of the long-running courtroom drama.
On radio, Bouchey played daring hero Captain Midnight, and he lent his voice to Let George Do It, The Whistler, Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, Ellery Queen, and more. Bouchey is prominently heard in one of my favorite episodes of The Adventures of Philip Marlowe - “The Soft Spot” (9/1/50). He plays a newspaper publisher who hires Marlowe to track down a gardener who left the grounds and took some goblets along with him.
