after being sexually abused by a guy on here, a self harmer for 2 years and developed anxiety and depression, id like to thank everyone on here who kept me going, especially @willssingalongblog @marthadobie and @classyjugenealover and anyone else who helped me though all the shit i was going through 3yrs ago because without you I probably wouldnt be here now

But no matter your opinion or mine, people shouldn't be sending you hate like that. The first 60 minutes were frustrating and I wouldn't want to see that again - especially as the season develops - but you're not dumb and you don't deserve the hate. Been away from tumblr for ages, so I don't know how you've been doing Bruna, but you know I loved talking to you and I'll always hope you're well. That anon can fuck off.

I'm not sure they were too out of position. No doubt better going forward but they kept things tight, Stoke were quiet and they were fairly solid. Lallana and Ibe's performance also didn't help our offense. But since Emre Can and Firmino came late to preseason, I wouldn't want Brendan to throw them right into the mix. I'll take a few more cameos like this before expecting Brendan to start off with the XI that ended today's match. That is where I'd like to end up though

i see your point but wouldnt that sacrifice our season beginning? these cameos are what preseason is for, i think. its crucial that we have a good start now.

I agree that we shouldn't be doing a 4231 with Hendo and Milner as DM's throughout the season. Would much rather have Can in there with those two getting forward. Just wonder how much psychology played into this decision. Brendan probably wanted to control the game a bit more before really going for it so as not to risk an implosion and Stoke didn't create anything except one chance from a J Gomez blunder first half so I think it made sense for now. For the next home games though I'd want more.

i’d agree if he had 2 other emre cans in milner and henderson. thats my whole point, brendan keeps playing everyone out of their position. i’d understand trying to defend more by putting 3 dms instead of just 1 or 2, but instead he sacrificed the pace by leaving all connection responsibility to coutinho instead of letting milner help, and that didnt work at all.

I made one of the arguments you criticized there. 1) I'm not that arsed over who is VC. I preferred Sakho but with rotation, Skrtel will surely be 'captain' a few times this season. 2) If we are going to nitpick, I think Milner is more vocal than Skrtel and will bring exp from a title winning side. Not saying Skrtel has never told other players to mark someone and deffo not criticizing his English or anything. Its marginal, so never saying Skrtel had no right. Milner edged it tho, imo.

Okay, that seems to be rational, but with that in mind it shouldn’t matter that Milner is VC either, right? I suppose it’s more a principle of it, because we treat the position with so much respect, that it should go to someone that’s actually worked their ass of at the club. 

Also, I’ve seen Milner’s experience being talked of a lot, but no one can seem to tell me what exactly he has that Škrtel seems to lack. Milner only made 19 appearances for City in their PL winning season, and on 7 of those he same in as a sub. That doesn’t prove anything, but we came close to winning it that season to, and Martin played a lot more matches.

But, I won’t go against my manager, it’s his decision. Martin will likely still keep organizing our back line and keep doing the things he does best. It just feels a little bit like a slap in the face, especially after the botched contract negotiations.
