Had a sketch sitting unfinished because I didn't know how I wanted to go about it, but I ended up just merging everything and changing the angle of the lighting lol
Anyway Matthew liking being gobbled up, lol
I didn't mean it this way, but the nosebleed does remind me of how it's a common stylization in anime to show they're horned up and I think it does oddly fit 😭
Also deer eyes :)
I like to imagine Matthew is willing to give up anything even his flesh, I just doubt it'd be something Will would take up unless he really got a taste for human flesh because of Hannibal pfff
Maybe it's just Matthew's daydream of wishing to see Will's other side
Only really used very basic brushes since I wanted to block out the colours, could clean it up, buut it's good enough for what I want and with the energy I have
P.S. ty anon who left an ask because it reminded me to look through my brownham sketches and finish it heehee
A/N: Wow, I am so sorry. This has been long overdue!! Thank you so much for your patience, I know I'm an idiot. Also, I'm sad that my story didn't predict the future, and that Will didn't win antm, but oh well. Anyways, here you go!!! I hope you like what I did with it xx
(pt 1 - pt 2)
Matthew's thumb brushed over the words that lit his phone screen as he walked towards a local cafe, thinking about how close he used to be to Will. Sighing, he read the last text Will had sent him over a month ago.
"Got an early shoot tomorrow! I need to get my beauty sleep ;) miss you xx"
He didn't know what had happened since. Sure, he knew about The Phonecall, but he didn't actually know the specifics. All he remembered was waking up with a raging hangover and after seeing his call to Will followed by a series of missed calls from Will, simply texted him back with a "Sorry bout last night- Ben went a bit crazy with the drinks haha. I hope I didn't speak too much gibberish x". He hadn't spoken to Will since. And he missed him so much. Too much.
Running his hands through his hair, he wondered for the thousandth time what had happened during that phone call. It must've been pretty bad for Will to stop talking to him completely.
Opening the door to the cafe, he looked around, searching for Raelia, who had wanted to meet up for lunch. Instead he found someone he hadn't been expecting. He felt a pang in his chest, shivers running up and down his spine. He hadn't felt like this since... since Will. Will. Who was staring back at him, mirroring his shocked expression, a flush covering his high cheekbones. Tentatively, he walked towards the small table where Will was seated at, and empty chair facing him.
"Hey," he quietly said, hoping the hushed tone would mask the turmoil of emotions he was experiencing.
I've missed you.
So much. So so much.
What happened?
"Heya," Will's eyes moved away from his, looking down at the table. Avoiding his inquiring gaze. Just like he'd avoided him this whole month.
"I'm going to assume Raelia set this up," Matthew sighed.
"I promise I didn't know anything about this," the blush on his cheeks deepened, "She told me she was going to meet me here."
Silence.
"I don't think I would've come otherwise," he continued, this time in a whisper.
More silence.
Except for Matthew's heart shattering into small, fragmented pieces. He couldn't do this anymore. Couldn't hide the hurt, the pain, the need, the want, the love.
"Do you want to explain to me what the fuck happened?," Matthew started, the bitterness heavy on his tongue, "I don't remember shit, and all I wake up to is a couple of missed calls and you ignoring me. For a whole month. That's a bit extreme for someone I had been talking with for nearly every single hour, every single day. Every single day Will! What did I do? Because the least you could've done is given me a goddamn explanation!"
By the end of his tirade, Matthew was slightly panting and he was aware that every single eye in the cafe was now set on them. But at this point, he was too angry or too hurt, he didn't know which, to care. He was too focused on Will, focused on his next words that would explain this past month.
Will looked up, moving his eyes away from the table he'd been staring at the whole time Matthew had been speaking, meeting his intent gaze. Matthew nearly stopped breathed when he saw the intensity that now filled Will's eyes.
"You told me you loved me," Will whispered, his voice shaking slightly, before repeating the sentence louder, stronger, "You told me you loved me. And it gave me so much hope, filled me with so much joy, I never felt anything like it. It felt like a ton of bricks had hit me. Because I loved you. Because I still love you," He paused, letting out a bitter laugh, "And then you ruined it with that text. All that hope, all that joy? Gone. It made me realise how pathetic I was, aimlessly waiting for you to return my feelings. That the wait wasn't worth the pain I was feeling at that moment. So I decided that it would be easier to just stop. That it would be easier not to talk instead of being just friends. Because I'm in love you, and it just hurts too much."
Matthew couldn't believe it. Will loved him? He couldn't breathe, felt like all the air had been removed from his body. All he could was stare. Stare while a feel of euphoria filled him. Will loved him.
And then Matthew did the only acceptable thing to do in the current situation. Walking towards where Will was sitting, Matthew pulled him against him, and kissed him. The kiss was like nothing he'd ever experienced before. It was messy, frantic, two new lovers getting used to the feel of each others lips, but it was sweet, loving and passionate. Cupping Will's cheek, Matthew knew he would never grow tired of this.
His lips still pressed against Will's, he softly murmered, "I love you. I'm sorry I'm such a idiot".
He returned to kissing Will, not caring about who was watching, but not before Will whispered back, "Don't worry, we both are."
I want Will to win obviously, but right now though I think Keith is gonna be the winner based on how the story is being told/edited in the episodes. Does anyone else think this?
