"Move asshole" I groaned as Steve sat next to me on the couch. He rolled his eyes, remaining in my space. "You're being such a B-" A loud voice came roaring from the kitchen, almost causing a echo through out the Curtis house. " Language, Steve!" Darry. I laughed at Steve getting called out by Darry. My laugh was hard to miss causing Darry to tell me to shut up too.
Ive known the gang for a long time, especially with Dallas being my brother. Most people think that he must have such a soft spot for me but truth is he's still him. Annoying as shit just in big brother form. Me and Steve never got along. He always acted weird towards me for no reason and I just return the favor.
I stuck my middle finger up to Steve and kicked him off the couch, causing a loud thud. "What the hell was that?" Soda exclaimed from the hallway. "I kicked the cow off the couch" I exclaimed with a laugh. Two-bit who was sitting on the floor with a beer busted out laughing with me. Steve pulled himself off the floor, mumbling something as he walked over to Soda.
It seemed like we could never go day without arguing or a fight. We even fight at the Dx while working: "Thats not how you're supposed to restock those." Steve said from behind me. I shrugged acting like I didn't feel his breath on my neck from how close he was. "Seems right to me. Leave me be, Randle." I continued to restock the candy till I felt Steve grab my hand and spin me around.
"You're still doing it wrong" his voice got lower, as he had me again the wall. I rolled my eyes. Men are so sensitive... "Really? All this over restocking candy? Get a grip, Steven" I spit my words like they were poison. "Screw you, Winston" I laughed at his words as he let go and walked away.
We kept our distance for the most part but it tends to get hard when the whole gang wants to hang out together. And when we run into each-other randomly. Sometimes I don't even get the point of why we're arguing we just do.
One thing is that we both know when something too far, subjects that are off limits. Its almost as if that we are protective of each other's feelings in a way.
Dallas and Soda live for the drama but sometimes even they get fed up. Once, me and him were arguing about whether Steves tattoo is dumb or not. It is. Dallas came over smacked the back of our heads and said "Do you guy ever shut the hell up?" then walked out. I was absolutely flabbergasted at that.
Even tho were "enemies" as Steve calls it, Ive wondered what it would be like if we weren't. If he hadn't acted like a asshole all the time, I wouldn't be one too.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
It was my shift at the Dx. Today was Sodas off day so I was left with Steve. He was nagging at everything I was doing. "You're doing it wrong" , "Shut the hell up, Randle" , "Ive worked here longer than you", and "And yet, I'm still better at my job than you'll ever be" were being thrown across the room. After I said my last words, I walked into the back to get away from him. God, he is insufferable!
After about five minutes, I heard the storage room open. I rolled my eyes for the 5th time this shift because I knew who it was. "Can you do your job" Steve said to me. I flipped him off and got up, stepping in front of him. "Can you stop running your mouth, asshole?" I pushed him lightly. He looked unamused as I pushed him again.
He rolled his eyes at me before grabbing my wrist and backing me up into the same wall as last time. Unbelievable...I scoffed at him "How many times are you gonna push me against this wall before you actually do something? You're a pussy." He scanned my face, examining my reaction.
We stared at each other for a couple seconds, like we were unable to speak. Once we made, eye contact it was over, his lips desperately attaching to mine. My arms came around his shoulders making him pull into me more. I felt myself being lifted lightly off the ground as Steves hands went down to my waist, signaling for me to wrap my legs around him.
Our kiss was fierce and filled with pure ecstasy, making our feelings that were always hate into love. Or thats what we thought at first but they were always love, it just felt like it needed to be hate because it couldn't be expressed well enough yet. It feels better to be on right side of it now.
We pulled away breathless, my teeth lightly catching lip bottom left before it truly ended. My head fell down to his chest, laughing as I realized what we had just done. When I looked back up, I was met with his smirking face. "I hate you so much, Randle." I joked.
Steve pulled me into another kiss, his hand coming to my face to deepen it. " Y'know, Ive liked you since we were kids. I just didn't know how to express it. I want to apologize for the past few years. Let me take you out, to make up for it?" He said looking down ashamed.
I smiled at his words. "I forgive you, I guess. Now kiss me." For once, we actually had a good conversation.
A/N: Just a quick disclaimer, if you see this story on Wattpad under the title “Dallas Winston’s Twin Sister” it is not a copy or I’m not trying to copy it, it is my story from well over two years ago that I am just rewriting and actually finishing. Should I do recaps in the summary instead of the whole story’s summary every time? Let yuh boy know
Trigger warning: suicidal Johnny for a few sentences
Summary: The only things you and your brother cared about were each other, and your best friend Johnny. You cared about the rest of the gang, but Johnny was like the younger brother you both never had. You’d do whatever you had to in order to protect your friend, even when it means you were the one in danger.

"Y/N what the hell?" Twobit screamed like a little girl making you slide off his back dying of laughter.
"You should have seen your face." You wheezed out leaning on him.
"Hey, why is your face red?" He asked touching your face, making you flinch when you felt pain shoot through your cheek where he put his hand.
"Oh, Tim hit me because I took the blame for Dallas slashing his tires. No big deal." You shrugged, wrapping my arm around Johnny's shoulder.
"Why would you do that?" Cherry asked, sounding shocked, making you laugh.
"He's my brother. I'd do anything for him, just like he'd do anything for me." You explained softly, looking out into the distance and you saw flashes of hands covered in blood and a body laying limp on the floor.
"Y/N?" You heard someone call your name and a hand on my shoulder making you jump. "You okay?" Twobit asked when you looked up at him since he was the one who put his hand on your shoulder.
You gave him a small nod before taking a shaky breath, you knew you shouldn’t have been thinking about that, trying to push it to the back of your head. Cherry and Ponyboy were talking about Darry and Sodapop but you didn't pay much attention until Ponyboy got mad at Johnny making Twobit hit him upside the head, and good thing Twobit got him, because you wouldn't have been so nice.
"I'm sorry I just got a little mad." Ponyboy apologized to Johnny.
"That's all right, don't worry about it." Johnny told him, making you sigh. You hated that Johnny just accepted the way people treated him, but you knew there wasn’t anything you could do.
"We couldn't get along without you." Twobit told Ponyboy while all of you started to walk again.
"Marcia." Cherry called over to you all, finally cluing you in on her friend’s name.
"What are we gonna do?" Marcia asked when a blue mustang pulled up behind you.
"Just act normal." Cherry said looking down.
"Who are these clowns?" You asked when two guys got out of the car.
"Cherry what's going on? What are you doing?" One of them stumbled over to us obviously drunk. "Just because we got a little drunk doesn't mean-" the guy started but Cherry cut him off.
"A little?! You call reeling and passing out on the streets a little?! Bob I've told you before I'm never going out with you and your drink again I mean it!" Cherry shouted at him.
"That's no reason to go walking the street with these bums." The other one chipped in while Bob took a drink from his flask.
"Who you calling bums pal?" Twobit asked walking up next to me.
“You!" The guy exclaimed, pulling Twobit’s sweater off of Marcia.
“Randy!" She whined, making you roll your eyes.
“Listen we got 2 more of us in the back seat." Randy told you, and you couldn’t help but scoff at him trying to scare you. Twobit turned to the gate breaking the bottle he had in his hand tossing it to you before he flipped open his switch.
"Pity the back seat." Twobit told Randy holding out his switch.
"If your looking for a fight-" Randy started and you cut him off.
"I am looking for a fight." You fired back and all of you started to argue.
"We'll go with you alright? Well go with you. Just give me a minute." Cherry exclaimed, getting you all to get quiet.
"Why? We ain't scared of these bastards." You told her, tightening your grip on the bottle as you looked at Bob when he got up, making you glare at him.
"I hate fights alright. I hate em." She said walking over to Ponyboy. Bob laughed sitting back on the car taking another drink from the flask. You looked over and saw Johnny looking away from you with his head down and you pulled him behind you.
"Cherry come on." Bob called Cherry after a while of you awkwardly standing there.
"I hope I never see Dallas Winston again. If I do I'll probably fall in love with him." You heard Cherry say when she got closer to you making you mentally gag.
"You okay?" You whispered to Johnny and he nodded.
"Come on baby." Bob said when Cherry walked over to the car.
"Don't touch me." She spat at him before she got in the car. Ponyboy walked back over to you and bent down to pick up the broken glass making you shake your head.
"Ponyboy, just leave it there." You told him but he continued to pick it up, completely ignoring you.
"Just watch it grease ball." Randy told you when he started driving away.
"Says who?" Twobit asked and you looked at Johnny who looked like he’d seen a ghost.
"Johnny, what's wrong?" You asked him, making him look over at you.
"Those guys, just reminded me of the ones from that night." He explained looking scared.
"Well if they are those guys you just tell me and I'll go make them pay for what they did to you." You told him, making him nod.
"Boy those two were the best looking girls I've ever seen." Twobit thought aloud while you all walked home.
"Yeah." Ponyboy replied sounding mesmerized.
"I think someone may be a little too smitten." You joked to Twobit making Ponyboy get mad at you. "Oh hush I'm joking." You said patting him on the back befor you winked at Twobit making you both laugh. Twobit stuck something in his mouth, chewing it up before spitting it out. "What was that?" You asked him while you watched it fly away.
"Marcia's number. Probably a phony one too. I must have been out of my mind to ask for it. Girl like that wouldn't go out with me anyway. Where y'all going?" He asked.
"Home." Ponyboy said. Johnny's Mom yelled as you passed by Johnny’s house making you sigh.
"I hate when my folks are fighting. Let's go to the lot." Johnny said, catching up to you. You all sat down and you finally took off your jacket giving it to Ponyboy.
"Wear it or I kill you." You explained since he was rubbing his arms.
"Fine." He grumbled before using it as a makeshift cover.
"It's because we're greasers Pone. Might have hurt her reputation or something that's all. Don't worry about it." Johnny told Ponyboy when you both laid next to Ponyboy with you in the middle.
"Yeah I guess so." He said, sounding upset.
"Man that was a tough car huh? Mustangs they're tough." Johnny thought out loud making you turn your head to him.
"Big time socs all right. It's always the same." Ponyboy sat up quickly getting mad throwing a twig.
You got comfortable, looking up at the sky staring, deep in thought. In the distance you could hear people arguing, and there was no doubt it was Johnny's parents. Johnny started breathing heavily next to you making you furrow your brows and sit up before you looked down at him with concern.
"I can't take much more of this you guys. I'll- I'll kill my self if something. I don't know." Johnny explained, starting to freak out putting his hands on his head. You wrapped your arms around him, trying to comfort him as Ponyboy came over to you.
"Now Johnny..." Ponyboy trailed, not having a clue what to say.
"Come on you can't kill yourself." You told Johnny while you rubbed his back.
"I gotta do something." Johnny explained, his voice shaky and Ponyboy joined in on the hug. You all laid back down and you still had your arm wrapped around Johnny trying to comfort him, resting your head on his shoulder. "It seems like there's gotta be someplace without greasers or socs. Must be someplace... with just plain ordinary people."Johnny choked out the last word making you pull him closer.
"It's like that out in the country. Away from all the big towns. Out in the country. I miss going there with my folks." Ponyboy muttered the last part and you started to feel your eyes flutter close as you fell asleep with your head on Johnny's shoulder and Ponyboy leaning on you.
************
"I'm going to kill you!" Nathan yelled in your face pulling out his knife, holding it up to your face.
"You're going to kill me for something I didn't do?" You asked him, fixating my eyes on the blade.
"You didn't do anything? So you call embarrassing me in front of all my friends not doing anything?" He growled.
"You were drunk and you were telling your friends all about Dallas and I and talking about how we had been to jail. You lied to them and started telling them all these things I've done which I haven't even done. I wasn't going to let you lie about what I've done with someone Nathan." You spat in his face.
"That didn't give you the right to hit any of my friends when they came near you." He told you, his breath fanning your face and you smelled alcohol.
“Are you seriously drunk again? Nathan they were trying to do things I didn't want to do! What was I supposed to do? Just sit there? I'm sorry but I'm not you. I'm not going to let people do whatever they want to me just so I can fit in with them!" You yelled in his face.
He finally lifted the blade, and you moved to get out of he way, but it lodged itself into your shoulder. Adrenaline kicked in as you pulled it out of your shoulder, looking at it shocked you looked up at Nathan, his eyes were filled with anger. He came toward you and your instincts took over and all you could see was red while you cut Nathan's cheek when he tried to grab you. He knocked the blade out of your hand when he slugged you in the face. You could hardly move as you reached your hand out, looking for the blade. Your hand wrapped around something metal and you swung it toward him, getting him in the gut. You repeatedly stabbed him until he fell off of you, lying motionless on the ground.
"No no no no no." You muttered to yourself trying to push down on his wounds while blood came out. You let out a scream tugging at your hair, scooting away from his body. Dallas ran into my room and stopped dead in his tracks. "Dallas. I killed him. I- I killed him. Oh they're gonna give me the chair. It wasn't my fault he- he came toward me I just-" You rambled, breaking down. Dallas ran over to you pulling you up into his arms while sobbed.
"It's gonna be okay. We'll take care of it. I'll help you don't worry." Dallas reassured you. He walked you over to the bathroom, handing you clothes and a towel. "Now wash off all the blood and I'll take care of this." He told you and you stayed silent.
You turned on the water, waiting for it to get warm while you stripped yourself of your bloody clothes. You watched while all the blood pooled at the bottom of the tub, making the water turn red. Your shoulder stung when the water hit the open wound, making you avoid it when you washed up. You used the soap to scrub your hands clean of the blood, starting to cry as you began scrubbing harder even after all the blood was gone.
You got out of the shower, drying off and put on the clothes Dallas gave you, seeing that your bloody clothes were gone. You figured Dallas must have taken them to the wash. You looked at yourself in the mirror and your eyes looked puffy. You saw your shoulder in the mirror, blood still coming out of the wound. You let out a sob, punching the mirror making it shatter to pieces, some lodging into your knuckles making Dallas swung the door open making you cry harder.
"Hey it's okay. Don't worry I already got Mike to take care of the body and I burned your clothes. I cleaned your floor. Come on." Dallas told you, trying to calm you down, sitting you down on the toilet as he pulled out the first aid kit. He first patched up your knuckles, getting disinfectant and put it on the wound on your shoulder. You bit your lip when it started to sting before Dallas put a bandage on it. "Was he drunk?" Dallas asked you and you just stared at the wall nodding. "Good that's what you can tell the cops if they end up finding out about this." Dallas asked, making you look at him.
"What do you mean? Why would they come here?" You asked, worry evident in your voice.
"Y/N. It'll be fine I'm telling you just in case." Dallas explained, making youu calm down. A few hours later the doorbell rang making your heart drop.

When you got to the drive in, the movie was already playing and all four of you slid through the hole under a gate right by the show one by one. You passed this one mustang, and you could hear this girl arguing with her boyfriend making you laugh. The four of you hopped over a railing and got seats almo. The same girl that was arguing with her boyfriend sat right in front of us with her friend making me groan internally.
"I'm freezing man." Ponyboy complained shifting in his seat uncomfortably.
"Why didn't you bring a coat stupid?" Dallas asked while he tried to turn on his match to light his cigarette.
"I forgot." Ponyboy muttered looking at the movie. You slipped off your jacket, handing it over to Ponyboy.
"Here." You told him, but he shook his head making you roll your eyes putting it back on. Dallas went to the seat next to some redhead and was finally able to light his match, making both of the girls jump. One started giggling and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes.
"Some cute redhead huh?" Dallas told you making the other girl giggle. "Are you a real redhead?" He asked the girl going up to her real close and not to anyone's surprise the other girl giggled again.
"Come on Dal." Johnny said and you looked over at him shaking your head. If Johnny told him to stop, Dallas would probably get mad and you didn't need Dallas mad at Johnny.
"Are you real?" Dallas asked again as he put his feet up on the chair next to her making him fall out of his chair making all of you laugh while he got back up. "How can I find out if this is your real red hair? If this is the same red hair that you have on your uh" Dallas started and you smirked trying not to laugh since you knew what he was gonna say next. "These eyebrows. Is it?" He finished and you scoffed making him shoot you a look. Dallas laughed to himself, sitting back down making you shake your head.
"Cut it out Dal." Johnny told him looking back at the girls. You nudged him with your leg silently telling him to be quiet. Dallas was messing with the back of the girls chair like a child and you had to hold back a laugh because you could tell she was getting annoyed.
"Get your feet off my chair and shut your trap." The girl said over her shoulder to Dallas.
"Who's gonna make me huh? Your boyfriend?" Dallas asked her as Johnny got up.
"I'm gonna get a coke." He told you while he left making Dallas have to put down his legs.
"Leave her alone Dal." Ponyboy told him and you pinched Ponyboy making him hit your hand. No one tells Dallas what to do, he’d never listen. You saw the giggly girl whisper something to the redhead, making your eyebrows knit together.
"Sure whatever you say honey." Dallas told Ponyboy, making you smirk and give Dallas a small high five.
"You better leave us alone or I'll call the cops." The red threatened him making you laugh.
"Oh my my. You got me scared to death. What, what am I gonna do now Y/N huh? This girl's making me shake." Dallas joked, making you laugh even more.
"Why don't you leave us alone? Be nice and leave us alone!" The girl said getting mad cutting Dallas off from saying something else.
"I'm never nice." Dallas replied, getting close to her again. "Can I interest you in a Coca-Cola or a 7-up?" Dallas asked, almost sounding polite.
"Get lost hood!" She screamed in Dallas' face making you glare at her.
"Hey I'm sorry. I didn't, I didn't know you had this problem with, yelling in my face. Okay, all right I'll go. I know when I'm not wanted." Dallas explained getting up and walking away.
"Are you gonna start in on us now too?" The redhead asked, turning around to face you.
"Please, you're both not my type." You joked, giving Ponyboy a small shove.
"No." Ponyboy replied to her softly.
"You don't look the type anyway. What's your name?" She asked Ponyboy as she looked at you cautiously.
"Ponyboy Curtis." Ponyboy told her, shifting in his seat.
"That's an original name." She told him laughing a little while she ignored you. You didn't really care since you already didn't like her.
"Yeah. My dad, he was an original person. I got a brother named Sodapop. It even says so on his birth certificate." Ponyboy told her, sounding excited. If you got money every time he said that you'd probably be able to bail Dallas out of jail whenever he goes.
"My name is Sherri but my friends call me Cherry because of my hair." She told him, smiling at him softly.
"Yeah I know. We go to the same school. You're a cheerleader." Ponyboy told her adding the last part when she gave him a confused look.
"You don't look old enough to be going to high school." The other girl told him.
"What's a nice boy like you doing hanging around with that trash?" Cherry asked, making you roll your eyes.
"Dally's my buddy and Dani's brother. I'm a grease too. We're all friends." Ponyboy told her, sounding upset.
"I'm sorry I didn't know." She told him, sounding like she felt bad, but there was no doubt in your mind that it was probably fake.
Johnny finally came back from getting coke, and you stopped paying attention to the conversation between Cherry and Ponyboy. You grabbed Johnny's coke out of his hand, drinking some giving him a small smile. He looked at you like he was about to complain about you getting some but, but you quickly kissed his cheek.
"Thanks Johnny." You laughed making him blush. Dallas walked up with a countless amount of drinks, and handed them to each of you.
"Here, since I stole some from you you can have the one with more in it." You told Johnny, handing him your cup, switching with his.
"Here, I thought this might cool you off." Dallas told Cherry, handing her a drink making you laugh a little.
"Maybe that will cool you off greaser. When you learn to talk and act decent I might cool off too!" Cherry exclaimed while she threw the drink in Dallas' face.
"Fiery huh? Just the way I like it ‘em." Dallas replied, getting close to Cherry.
"Leave her alone Dallas." You told him when you saw Johnny was about to say something.
"What'd you say?" He asked you, getting mad.
"You heard me. I said leave her alone." You told him standing up. You thought it was better to have Dallas get mad at you than Johnny.
"What'd you say you little shit? What'd you say to me?" He asked again, getting more mad.
"You heard me, kid brother." You told him getting mad right back. You were born before a few minutes Dallas and you always used it to your advantage when you had to.
"You wise ass." He mumbled as Johnny pulled you back down to sit next to him. Dallas got up pushing his chair making it fall before he walked away.
"Thanks." Johnny whispered to you and you nodded smiling at him.
"Now you blew it." Ponyboy told you, making you scoff.
"He's my brother little Curtis, I can talk to him however I please." You told him, stealing a piece of popcorn from his container.
"Thank you. He had me scared to death." She nodded to you, giving you attention for the first time that night.
"Sure didn't show it. Ain't nobody talk to Dal like that." Johnny chipped in.
"From what I saw, she does." Cherry replied looking at you.
"That's different, I'm his sister, I'm allowed to talk to him however I like." You shrugged, drinking your coke.
"Why don't y'all sit up here with us so you can protect us?" The other girl asked the three of you, smiling.
"What do you think man?" Johnny asked Ponyboy who had a smile on his face.
"Might as well." Ponyboy agreed, wiping the smile off his face pretty quickly. You all sat in the empty chairs near the girls, and got settled in.
"How old are y'all?" The other girl asked.
"14" "16" "17" You all told them.
"Huh I thought both you boys were-" Cherry started and she said 16 while her friend said 14. "You look a little older though." Cherry told you and you shrugged.
"Go through stuff you might look older too red." You told her, giving her your own nickname, making her look away awkwardly after that.
"How come y'all ain't scared of us like you was Dally?" Johnny asked them.
"You two are too sweet looking to scare anyone. You're surprisingly just like your brother though." Cherry replied. aiming the last part toward you making you shrug. People always said that you were like a girl version of Dallas. You’d been to jail about the same amount of times, maybe Dallas a few more than you, but the gang knew me and knew I could be sweet when I wanted to be. "Besides I know about the Winston’s. You and Johnny don't look mean." She told Ponyboy, making you furrow your brows, wondering what she meant.
"Yeah right. We're young and innocent." Ponyboy said, sounding like an upset child.
"No, you're just not dirty." She told him.
"Come on Dal and Y/N are okay. I mean they're tough and all but they're both cool if you get to know them." Johnny told her, sticking up for the both of you making you smile at him.
"He'd leave you alone if he knew who you were." Ponyboy explained.
"Well I'm glad he doesn't know us. I kind of admire him." Cherry thought out loud making you mentally gag.
"All right greaser you're dead!" You heard from behind you as someone grabbed Johnny. Johnny jumped out of his skin, and you all looked and saw Twobit.
"Hey Twobit." Ponyboy called from where he was sitting.
"This hair's out of place." Twobit laughed running his switchblade over Johnny's hair.
"Do you mind?" You asked the other girl, reaching for her soda. She shook her head, handing it to you making you nod as a thank you to her.
"Here kid. Have a beer it'll settle your nerves." Twobit told Johnny, handing him the beer he’d brought. You sucked up some soda through the straw before spitting it at Twobit before handing back the girl her drink.
"That's not funny Twobit." You told him while he wiped his face.
"Well who do we got here your great grandmothers?" Twobit joked making the girl laugh. "What are you young ladies doing hanging out with these greasers anyway huh? Twobit asked, trying to sound like a Soc.
"Dal was bothering them and they wanted us to come sit with them." Johnny told Twobit.
"He was huh?" Twobit asked near your face, squeezing your shoulder hard getting you back for spitting coke in his face. "Where is old Dal now anyway?" He asked.
"Yeah where is old Dally?" You heard someone asked and you looked up to see Tim Shepard.
"He left Tim." Ponyboy told him, picking at his popcorn.
"Hey I know he slashed my tires." Tim accused, angrily looking over at you.
"Look Tim. He left. He's not here. Really. You guys seen Dally?" Ponyboy asked all of you winking and you all said no.
"Yeah well I'll be looking for him. Come on Winston." Tim told you, making you look over at him confused.
"What?" You asked as he was staring at you.
"Come on we are going to go find your brother." He explained, walking up to you, grabbing your upper arm pulling you out of my chair.
"Hey Tim if Dally did slash your tires it's not Y/N's fault." Twobit told him as he was about to get up.
"If I don't find Dally then someone’s gotta pay for it. Got to give him a message now don't I?" Tim asked as he pulled you close to him. You looked up at Tim while he looked down at you, and he had a look in his eye that was meaner than usual.
"Y/N." You heard from behind you and you looked back seeing Johnny.
"It'll be alright Johnny don't worry." You told him while Tim dragged you away.
"Hey I can walk by myself okay." You spat at him, pulling your arm out of his grip.
"Doesn't look like it." He fired back when he saw you grabbing your side where William had kicked you earlier. "What happened?" He asked, almost sounding worried.
"Don't act like you care Shepard." You rolled your eyes as you kept walking. He muttered something under his breath and you were about to say something, but he grabbed you by the neck with a firm grip. "There he is." He whispered to me. "Hey Winston!" Tim called Dallas who was talking to a girl. Dallas looked over and quickly walked over to us, ignoring everybody around him.
"Let her go." Dallas glared at Tim.
"I know you slashed my tires Dallas." Tim told him, tightening his grip around your neck.
"He didn't slash them Tim. I did." You choked out, lying and saw Dallas look at you in shock.
"No I-" Dallas started but you cut him off.
"Don't try and cover for me Dallas. I slashed the tires." You told Tim, and his grip loosened. He spun me around and you got a good blow to the face. He threw you to Dallas and he caught you holding you tightly to him.
"Do it again Winston and it'll be worse." Tim spat over to us and you sighed when he walked away.
"Do something like that again and I'm gonna kill you." Dallas explained, shoving you.
"You already fought someone once today because of me. I just returned the favor." You told him, and probably made him even more mad. "I probably won't come back tonight because I'm gonna stay with Johnny and make sure he's okay because he's been acting strange lately." I told Dallas and he nodded smiling a little. "Wait." You stopped before walking away. "What did Johnny tell you earlier that he wouldn't tell me?" You asked, looking up at Dallas.
"Now you'll just have to ask him yourself now won't you?" Dallas told you, smiling and avoided the question. You groaned to yourself, walking back toward the drive in and you saw the boys walking with Cherry and her friend before you ran up behind them, jumping onto Twobit's back to scare him.

A/N: Just a quick disclaimer, if you see this story on Wattpad under the title “Dallas Winston’s Twin Sister” it is not a copy or I’m not trying to copy it, it is my story from well over two years ago that I am just rewriting and actually finishing
Summary: The only things you and your brother cared about were each other, and your best friend Johnny. You cared about the rest of the gang, but Johnny was like the younger brother you both never had. You’d do whatever you had to in order to protect your friend, even when it means you were the one in danger.
-------------------------------------
“Y/N, I’m going out to get some cigs.” You woke up to Dallas nudging you with his foot. You let out a noise for acknowledgment, waving him off as he walked out the door. You stayed curled up on the floor, until you heard knocking on your door. You groaned, getting up, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, and fixing your hair before you opened the door.
"Hey Buck what's up?" You asked when you saw Buck standing in front of you.
"Some guy named Will is here to talk to you." Buck grumbled before walking away.
You got dressed and brushed your hair before making your way down the stairs. When you got to the front door you walked right passed William, bumping your shoulder with his. So, you lied to the gang about why you broke up, but they didn’t need to know. Technically William couldn't keep it in his pants but it just wasn't with you, so you weren't fully lying.
"Y/N please! Let me make it up to you!" William called after you, jogging to keep up.
"There's nothing to talk about. I wasn't enough for you so you decided to sleep with any other girl that you could. You slept with my brother's girlfriend Will. What could possibly go through your mind that makes you think that's okay?" You asked, shaking your head, picking up the speed while you walked. You knew he was still following you, so you didn't bother looking at him when you spoke.
"I wasn't thinking. Please Y/N, I love you." He pleaded turning you around making you look at him.
"You don't love me William. You love the thought of having me all to yourself even though you're still going to be with other girls. You have no idea what love is." You laughed in his face, pushing his hands off of you.
"Well I know you love me. You can't tell me that you didn't. Even if you never said it I can tell that you love me." He explained, looking down at you.
"I never loved you Will. I never have and I never will. You can keep thinking that I loved you if that helps you sleep at night, but all you were to me was a distraction. Do you think I ever really cared about you? I don't care about anyone except for Dallas and my friends and you are no friend of mine Will. Now leave me the hell alone." You spat in his face shoving him. You turned and walked down the street for a while, and you almost thought he had left, but you were wrong.
“Y/N." You heard from behind you, but you just ignored it. Before you knew it, you were pushed up against the wall next to you. "How's this for a distraction?" He asked before smashing his lips onto yours. You didn't kiss back, trying to push him off of you, but he had his whole weight crushing you against the side of the building. You bit his lip as hard as you could, and he pulled back slapping you.
"Get the fuck off of me." You spat in his face.
"No, you said I was a distraction, so I'm going to show you a real distraction." He growled down at you, pulling you against him.
"Will get the fuck off of me." You tried pushing him when he started kissing down my neck. He went to go kiss you again, but this time you spit in his face.
"Dani what the fuck!" He yelled, shoving you making your head hit the wall, your knees going weak as you slid down the wall. "You stupid broad." He spat out kicking you repeatedly.
"Hey! Get the fuck off of my sister." You heard before the kicking stopped. You looked up to see Dallas beating the living hell out of William. "Don't you touch her ever again. If I ever see you anywhere near my sister again I'll be the last thing you ever see coming at you." Dallas spat in his face shoving him. William stumbled away and Dallas crouched down to help you up. "What the hell was that? Are you okay?" He asked, sounding concerned checking to see if you were badly hurt.
"I lied to you before, about why we broke up. He cheated on me with Sylvia. He came to apologize and he wanted to get back together, but I told him the truth. He was just a distraction." You explained looking up at Dallas. "I'm sorry for lying, and not telling you about Sylvia." You added when Dallas picked you up. You took a step forward, holding onto your side when you felt a shooting pain go through you.
"It's okay. We never liked either of them anyway." Dallas shrugged, helping you walk. We went to the corner of the street and waited for Ponyboy and Johnny to get there. Dallas pulled out a cigarette, lighting it up before taking a drag, but you stole it.
"This is for stealing mine the other day." You taunted him waving it in front of his face.
"Hey what's goin’ on?" Johnny greeted you when he walked up with Ponyboy.
"We're early." Dallas explained looking at the guys.
"What do you want to do?" Ponyboy asked, sticking his hands in his pockets.
"Nothing legal, man." Dallas smirked. "Come on let's get out of here." He told them and you stood up straight after you’d been leaning on the pole next to you. While you all walked away, a girl passed by and you noticed Dallas checked her out.
"Dallas really?" You asked, shoving him. He put his hands up in defense. You lagged behind with Johnny, bumping your hip with his. "What's up?" You asked, trying to get his attention.
"Noth- is that a bruise?" He asked when he looked up, pointing to your eye. You quickly looked away and cleared your throat, trying to make your hair fall in front of your face.
"Uh ya I got into a fight with William, nothing big." You explained shrugging my shoulders.
"Wait, he left a bruise? I'm gonna kill that guy." Dallas fumed as he inspected your face.
"Leave it alone Dal." You growled at him and the conversation ended after that. You walked up to the Pines restaurant, Dallas and Ponyboy going over to talk to Bill in his car. You leaned over to listen into the conversation, almost flush against Johnny. "Sorry" You whispered into his ear, feeling as though you were making him uncomfortable.
Before he said anything some guys fighting behind you caught your attention, and everyone turned around to watch them. You walked closer to the commotion but made sure Johnny stayed behind you in case something happened. You’d almost been right in front of the guy when he got pushed down to the floor, and he pulled out his switchblade. You held out your arm, wrapping it around Johnny making him stay behind you while you walked backwards toward Dallas and Ponyboy behind the car they were next to. A police car pulled up behind you and you instinctively grabbed Johnny's arm.
"Let's go." You told them, grabbing Ponyboy and pushing him to the front. It was no secret tha he got nervous around cops, and you didn’t need him acting suspicious around them. "Johnny why do you look so down? Are your folks getting to you again?" You asked while you walked to the Dx, noticing Johnny had his head down and his hands in his pockets.
"No they're fine. I mean they're the same but it's okay." He shrugged.
"If you ever need someone to talk to about it I'm here, you know that right?" You asked, making him look at you so he knew you weren't lying.
"Okay, thanks Y/N." Johnny thanked you, an evident blush on his cheeks.
You wrapped your arm around his shoulder giving him a noogie, making him shove you off of him, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. You and Dallas were the only ones that could make Johnny genuinely smile, and you loved Johnny more than anything, aside from Dallas, but you loved them just about the same and you hated seeing him hurt all the time.
"Hey Sodapop." Ponyboy greeted when you all walked up to the DX.
"Hey, I ain't got no cash." Steve told you, making you look at him with furrowed brows.
"I got this." You whispered to Sodapop because you knew he would tell Steve to give us the money anyway.
"Anyone wanna buy an old windshield wiper?" Dallas asked, playing with one he’d found laying around almost distracting you from your plan.
"Come on Dally." Steve complained, sounding annoyed when he grabbed it out of his hands.
"We know you got money Steve. Hand it over." Dallas told him holding out his hand to Steve. You shot Dallas “the look” making him back off while you walked over to Steve.
"Hey Steve. We really need money for the movies." You explained, looking up at him batting your eyelashes, rubbing his chest lightly. "I would be really upset if we couldn't get anything over there." You added, pouting slightly.
"Uh yeah, I'll get some Y/N, don't worry." He frantically went inside and you jumped in excitement.
"Ha sucker! Works every time!" You exclaimed, giving Dallas a high five. You composed yourself when Steve came back, out almost running over to you to hand you the money. You winked at him before you all started walking away, and you couldn’t help but laugh. When you looked over to everyone, you couldn’t help but notice that Johnny looked upset. "What's wrong Johnny?" You asked after handing over the money to Dallas.
"Nothing." He replied with a shrug, looking away from you. You looked over at Dallas, and he looked back at you and he knew what you were thinking. Johnny was hiding something, and when he wouldn't tell one Winston he'd tell the other. You nodded toward Johnny and patted his back slightly.
"Okay, but if you want to talk about it with me you can." You told him, walking over to Ponyboy while you and Dallas almost switched places. "Hey kid, what's up with you?" You asked him, Dallas and Johnny now lagging a little behind you to talk, far enough that you couldn't hear them whispering to each other, but close enough for them to not be too far.
"Just still a little shook up from the socs yesterday." He told you, shrugging.
"Shoot kid that's nothing. It could’ve been a whole lot worse if we didn't show up to run them out of there." You explained, punching his shoulder. After a while Dallas and Johnny caught up, and you looked over at Dallas hopefully, and he nodded his head silently telling you he’d gotten it out of Johnny and you couldn’t help but smile.
"So what's the movie about?" Johnny asked after a few minutes of silence.
"I don't know Johnny. One of those beach movies. You know they put out a whole bunch of them." Dallas explained after messing around with Johnny a bit before you passed by a convenience store and Dallas peeked in.
"Come on, let's go." You told him, pulling Dallas away from the window once he was looking for too long. You came up to some kids playing cards on the grass, and you scrunched up my nose. You almost didn't like kids as much as Dallas didn’t like them.
"Hey did I say you guys could play in my grass huh?" Dallas asked them, trying to sound mad making them look up at the four of you.
"No." They replied, sounding like they’d been getting scolded by a parent.
"What are you doing here? Give me those cards will you?" He asked them, holding out his hand and the kids looked almost scared to death. You hid my face in Johnny's back, trying to bite back your laugh. They quickly handed them over to Dallas as though he were a parent asking for their report card. "You guys ever play 52 pick up?" He asked them and you had to bite down on Johnny's jacket to stifle a laugh, making him look down at you with a smirk when he heard you let out a quiet laugh.
"Yeah." They muttered in reply looking away from Dallas and at each other.
"What? Hey, don't get wise. I don't like little kids. I don't like ‘em. I just-" Dallas shrugged looking down at the cards before making them fly all over the place. "Get out of here! I'm gonna kill you!" Dallas screamed at them making them run while you all chased after them. You started letting yourself laugh, watching as the kids ran away from you scared out of their minds.
"Get out of here you little brats!" Ponyboy called after them when you finally stopped chasing them.
"Hey now. You were one of those brats a few years ago Ponyboy." You laughed at him and he playfully hit you.
"The sky's getting dark. Let's go." Dallas told you, trying to catch his breath.
"Let's go man." Johnny chipped in and you hopped onto Dallas' back.
"Now who here do you all think is gonna be the last of us to get a girlfriend or boyfriend?" You asked all of them, and you all just immediately turned your heads to Ponyboy, all of you laughing at him.
"Hey! How about Johnny?!" He almost yelled sounding offended.
"Oh please, you wish you got a girlfriend before Johnny." You laughed looking over at Ponyboy.
"Oh yeah Winston? Say it to my face." He fired back and you slid off of Dallas' back in an instant.
"Now don’t go starting something you can’t finish little Curtis." You shot at him looking him dead in the eye. Ponyboy almost jumped on top of you, both of you rolling on the ground wrestling before you won with Ponyboy's arms pinned above his head. "I win." You smirked down at him before getting up, all of you taking off in the direction of the drive in, pushing and shoving, all of you trying to be the first to get there..
