Dal, He's Makin' Eyes at Me!! (Ponyboy Curtis x Winston!Reader)
Notes: Sorry guys, quick self indulgent recent reqs, I've been trying to get my older ones done first, but this was just such an easy and simple one, Connie Francis fuelled and inspired fic too!! And a reminder Outsiders reqs are still shut
"Your buddy's making eyes at me" Is the first thing you'd ever said about Ponyboy, unbeknownst to him, now, it wasn't that he wasn't making eyes at you, it was that he had no clue he was doing so! Nevermind that, Dallas kept an eye on Ponyboy from that day on, it was always funny to Soda who had to hear Dallas huff about it
And all Soda had to say was "It's a harmless crush! C'mon Dal, you had crushes as a kid too, surely" and Dallas just shook his head "No boys havin' crushes on my sister though, boys're vultures Soda" He raised an eyebrow pointedly (because the trend of copying Two-Bit's eyebrow raise is a real plague for anyone in the gang)
"Well you don't needa worry anyway, your kid sister looks permanently pissed- just like you, maybe it'll scare Ponyboy off" He says with a chuckle and Dallas genuinely hums "Huh, lets hope so" He says passively
That lead you to the first time you and Ponyboy met, when Ponyboy wound up crashing at Bucks, no particular reason, Dallas, Johnny and him had been hanging out and by then it was past curfew for him, Dallas called up Darry and gave him the whole "Don't get all mother hen on the kid, I'll keep him with me at Bucks, he'll live" Spiel and Darry gave in
So, Pony was on the couch, still awake humming to himself as he looked up, tapping his own chest in a rhythm to attempt to lull himself to sleep, that was until he jolted at the sound of light creaking "Who's there? Buck?" he got a giggle in response that made him furrow his brows before you flicked a light on "Am I that heavy footed?" You ask softly, god your eyes are hypnotising
"No- not at all" He clears his throat and you shake your head "I- didn't really know you'd be here, sorry for disturbing you I just wanted to grab a glass of water" You say with an awkward smile, jeez, you were much nicer than you looked and plenty more pleasant than Dallas in general
And that was your brief first meeting that kicked it off, and by it, that means Pony's new found habit of wiggling his way into staying at Bucks or convincing Dallas, who did make you tag along plenty, to make you tag along even more! That meant plenty of late night talks, different things to discuss and all such things
But there was the real kick-off, the first kiss between you two, what? You couldn't have thought this wouldn't end in a love story? You two had managed to get away from your respective siblings, you telling Dallas you were hanging with a gal pal of yours and Ponyboy claiming him and Johnny were hanging out
When in reality, you two were off to the movie house to catch a flick, just you two, you knew if you told any of the boys they'd insist to come with you because they knew Dallas would probably have their heads on skewers if they let you go on what was obviously a little date
You two successfully got to and into the movie house without the targeting of any Socs or being spotted by any of the Greasers which was always good, it definitely gave you hope it'd all go right
And you were right in that assumption (thank goodness) Ponyboy seemed more comfortable too, leaning on you a little, shoulder to shoulder before progressively wrapping his arm around your shoulder, which made you giggle just that little bit
It was nice, different but nice, you two had been talking and joking about the day he'd have to awkwardly wrap an arm around you at the movie house, but this wasn't awkward at all, in fact it was pretty nice, it felt right, you felt warm, and you didn't feel all that distracted from the actual movie
And over time, you leaned in closer and closer, until a sudden moment, a kiss on screen that made you two both turn your heads to one and other, sharing a cheeky small smile before you both kissed, as much as you didn't believe your first kiss would be this big spark magical moment, you were wrong, it felt like a big spark
And when you got home you couldn't help but yelp to Dallas "Dal! He kissed me!" and Dallas immediately knew exactly who, he gave a groan and ran a hand down his face, he looked back to you, he dreaded the day you'd come up to him and chirp "Dal he wants to marry me!"
The Winston Curse (PT. 2) - Johnny Cade X Winston!Reader
Warning: After math of drinking, toxic relationships!!
AN: Here it is <3 idk how people write 5k-word fanfics y'all are actually super heroes... I wrote this quickly and didn't proofread, so I'm so sorry if it's not my best. Enjoy!
Both of you knew how true it was. How you only wanted affection when the walls were spinning, and how Johnny would take it in any shape or form. Even if you didn’t remember it in the morning.
Johnny couldn’t walk away. You and Dallas had a hold on him that he couldn’t break, you especially. He looked at you with a pathetic sparkle in his eyes that could make someone sick.
As he uttered the words, “You don’t mean stuff like that in the mornings…” it had nearly sobered you up in the blink of an eye. The walls suddenly felt too close.
Admitting to the disgusting logic your mind used to cope nearly made the alcohol come back up and land on both your feet. “No, you just can’t handle anything rough,” you covered up, crossing your arms. Anger was bubbling up in your stomach, a defense mechanism to deflect the topic.
Johnny got a bit pale, his posture hunched, and his hands shaky, shoving them deep into his pockets to hide it. He hated fighting with people. You especially, your words so bitter and sharp, full of hatred that was later soothed by rough kisses that hardly felt like an apology. “I do… do… love ya, but you never show it,” he stuttered out, his cracked lower lip trembling with each word. Just like he did after getting a good beating from his parents.
You lit a cigarette for him, passing it off, “It’ll cool your nerves,” you said quietly. You felt like you had to fix this, but you didn’t know how. And you hated admitting you were wrong. Johnny accepted the cigarette, puffing on it, his breathing going deep as the nicotine settled over his nerves, making the tremor in his fingers fade. “I try to show it, but you know how I am,” you say, trying to shrug it off. Johnny gave you a confused look. He shook his head, getting his bangs out of his eyes.
“Then why don’t I feel it…” he asks, his eyes big, like you had all the answers. You just exhaled hard, brushing his hair to the side, and he flinched away from the touch. Like, he didn’t trust you. Something sharp twisted in your chest. “Cmon, JohnnyCakes. It ain’t gotta be like that. What do you want from me? It’s not my fault,” you protested, grabbing his chin to look at you. He did, his big eyes filled with tears he was trying to hide.
Johnny couldn’t help crying when the only girl he had ever loved treated him this way. Like he was a pastime. You had an attachment to him; you couldn’t let him go, even if it was best for him and for you. For sweet Johnny Cade, the boy who confided in affection to save him.
You led him to sit on your bed, suddenly aware of everything around you. The floorboards creaked under your weight, even more so as you knelt, untying Johnny’s shoes. He was surprised but didn’t stop.
He never would.
You helped him out of his jean jacket, his jeans too, and let him get comfortable in your bed. You handed him an old glass of water from your nightstand, looking down at him like he was glass. Your heart beats in your ears, finally sober enough to experience a moment like this without it being a blur.
“Don’t do me no favors,” he mumbles, his arms coming out of the covers, one touching your hand on the bed. He knew he couldn’t change you, but he wanted to try whatever you’d allow. You didn’t pull away. You frown at him, “I’m sorry that I’m such a shitty girlfriend. Maybe you oughta dump me for someone better,” you mumbled.
Johnny shook his head. “I’d do this a million times even if it meant nothing between us,” he whispers. You could nearly rip your hair out; it was sick how he loved you. “You don’t mean it,” you mumbled, watching his heavy eyes flutter shut for the night. You removed your hand, sliding into bed next to him.
That night, you lay awake tossing and turning, looking over at Johnny occasionally. He curled in on himself when he slept, like he was always trying to make himself smaller. So careful and calculated even in his sleep, the blankets up to his ear, his breathing light and barely audible.
He had slept over before; once you had moved abruptly, and he woke up from sleep quickly. It’s just who he had become, what his parents had done to him. In the soft light, you could see the bruises on his arms, how they trailed up his arm, and the sleeves of his t-shirt tried to conceal them. You had seen his back, and it was even worse off.
Guilt continued to gnaw at you, eat your insides. He was so broken and you couldn’t even give him what he wanted most.
When morning rolled around, you were gone. Johnny felt an empty ache in his stomach as he dragged himself out of bed, sitting up. There was a chill in the room from the open window. He grabbed his jeans and his worn jacket, stretching as he stood up. He went slow, hoping you’d come back and he’d get to see you. To his dismay, you didn’t return.
You were long gone, had left town for a day to go handle the guilt. You had some friends in a town over.
Johnny went downstairs. Buck’s Mercantile was clean despite the mess he had kicked through the night before. Dally was down there, getting ready to leave, getting his lighter in his pocket and slipping his coat on by the door. He caught Johnny's eye and grimaced.
Johnny’s eyes were a bit puffy, from sleep or his light crying, neither knew. His hair was mussed up, and his body language was radiating tension and sadness. “God, kid. What the hell happened to you?” Dallas asked, dragging Johnny outside with him. They sat on the front step, smoking a cigarette slowly. It made Johnny get some of his color back. “Nothin’, man. I’m alright,” Johnny replied quietly, his free hand burying itself in his pocket.
“Gotta let her go. I know my sister, and she isn’t gonna do it. She’s gonna be the end of you,” Dally ranted, shaking his head. How could his friend be so stupid? So stupid as to fall for your trap. The trap he had watched many fall victim to.
“She loves me, Dal,” Johnny said out loud. It sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than Dally. Dally knew you loved Johnny. Just not how Johnny needed it.
“I know,” he grumbles, running a hand down his face. “You just keep crawling back like a kicked dog,” Dally said sharply. Johnny’s breath hitched, and it flew like a punch to the gut. He had heard that many times before. But now it stung a bit more than it ever had before.
Winston reader falls alseep on Ponyboys lap while everyone is at the Curtis house and it’s Ponyboys and the gang’s reaction bc she tuff like her brother so it’s out of character

A/N: This is one of the imagine series I mentioned that I’ll be rewriting and posting on here very soon :)
Let me know if you would like to be tagged in this series
WARNINGS: Underage Drinking, toxic relationship, reader being mean, mentions of troubled childhood.
AN: I'm fully convinced that Johnny would be in the most toxic relationship that he would keep going back to... sorry not sorry... My own HC if we must. Enjoy, pt 2 and 3 of my other one will come out together like tomorrow maybe...
Everyone knew that the Winston line wasn’t meant for the fragile. Both siblings had hollowed out looks, their eyes cold and their attitudes sharp. They were a trap. A trap that Johnny Cade would always fall for, like this Winston curse was made for him to be enchanted by.
Poor Johnny Cade—malnourished, shy, with a sick desperation in his eyes for human attention. Sure, he had his strong suits, but to any passerby, he was a mess. Someone people didn’t look at twice.
This didn’t stop you from pulling him in. How could you ignore him when he desperately clung to both you and your brother? He had the sweetest brown eyes, and you’d come to admire his little stutter, even if at times, it sent your temper through the roof sometimes.
But all good things had a downside. You were far too broken to love anybody really, to give someone like Johnny what they deserved. There was always a gap between you two, his body craved affection that you never gave out for free. Only when the room was spinning, and your stomach was all warm and fuzzy from the familiar feeling of alcohol in your system.
And every time you found him while drunk, engaging in making out, cuddling, or even hand-holding, Johnny accepted it. Even with the hole in his gut, the hole that told him you were going down the same way his parents had. He always found an excuse to make it right—someone loved him, and he wasn’t going to let go.
Johnny was sitting in the lot, smoking a cigarette, carefully practicing blowing smoke rings. Dally came sauntering up, walking by on his way to make a deal of some sort. Johnny hadn’t cared enough to ask; his mind had been elsewhere since the relationship between you began. “Hey, man. Got a cancer stick?” he asks, plopping down on the old, worn bus seat sitting on the ground next to a smoking fire pit. It was a pathetic spot but loved by all greasers. Johnny nods, handing him one from the breast pocket of his jean jacket. “What’s up, Dal?” Johnny mumbles, smoking his cigarette normally. “Not much. I was just heading over to the Shepards.” He paused, a long drag of his cigarette, the smoke curling against Johnny’s skin, blowing into his face. “You and my sister? She, uh… Treatin’ you alright? I know she can be a lot, I mean hell, she won’t even look at me sometimes,” Dally shook his head, scoffing more to himself.
Johnny tensed, thinking for a moment. “Yeah, yeah. Just a bit harsh sometimes. She won’t really hug me unless she’s a little tipsy. Or ‘fuzzy’ she called it, sometimes she yells,” he said, his shoulders tense as he hugged himself, stubbing out his cigarette. Dally just scowled at him. “Just let everybody bulldoze you, you know you can say no to her? She’s not a piece of glass, she’s just an ass.” Of course, Dally loved his sister, but watching her be mean to the second most important person in his life made his teeth grit. Johnny just shrugged, “She’s trying.”
Dally scoffed at that, walking away without a bye. Johnny didn’t seem to care much.
Johnny set out to find you that night, missing your rough affection no matter how Dally painted it. You were hurt—scarred permanently from the terrors you had experienced by Dally’s side. It wasn’t something that faded with ease; it took years of gentle care. A gentle care that you would never accept.
Johnny had made it to Buck’s after nearly half an hour; the walk was cold, a cold that clung to him. He didn’t bother knocking, pushing the door open gently, pushing his way through the crowds of people, chattering and causing chaos. He spotted you quickly, your smile too sweet, your laughter carrying, and your muscles relaxed.
His shoes caught on the mess of the floor, napkins and cups, puddles of some kind of liquid, and the heat of bodies too close together. Johnny made it to you, standing close but not allowing himself to grab just yet. “Hi…” He said, his awkwardness making you giggle. He perked up at the laughter, and he knew you were drunk. “Hi, baby… You miss me? ‘Cause I know I missed you,” you slur your words, and your stomach feels warm and loose from the alcohol. Johnny just gave a small nod, unsure of how to handle you.
You look at him, eyes half-lidded as he guides you to your temporary room upstairs. “So pretty when you’re thinkin’ like that, JC,” his nickname popped up at random, followed by a few hiccups. Johnny’s big brown eyes searched for answers in your face. “You’re drunk,” he mutters first, watching your face. “And?” you ask, a hand moving to your hip to guide you. “You don’t mean stuff like that in the morning…” he whispers, making you freeze in place.
“What the hell did you just say to me?” you ask. Before anything could happen, Johnny saw the unmistakable look of guilt gleam through your eyes, then watched it fade within seconds. He didn’t repeat it, and you went quiet.
The most devastating part was that both of you knew it to be true.
A/N: Just a quick disclaimer, if you see this story on Wattpad under the title “Dallas Winston’s Twin Sister” it is not a copy or I’m not trying to copy it, it is my story from well over two years ago that I am just rewriting and actually finishing. Should I do recaps in the summary instead of the whole story’s summary every time? Let yuh boy know
Trigger warning: suicidal Johnny for a few sentences

"Y/N what the hell?" Twobit screamed like a little girl making you slide off his back dying of laughter.
"You should have seen your face." You wheezed out leaning on him.
"Hey, why is your face red?" He asked touching your face, making you flinch when you felt pain shoot through your cheek where he put his hand.
"Oh, Tim hit me because I took the blame for Dallas slashing his tires. No big deal." You shrugged, wrapping my arm around Johnny's shoulder.
"Why would you do that?" Cherry asked, sounding shocked, making you laugh.
"He's my brother. I'd do anything for him, just like he'd do anything for me." You explained softly, looking out into the distance and you saw flashes of hands covered in blood and a body laying limp on the floor.
"Y/N?" You heard someone call your name and a hand on my shoulder making you jump. "You okay?" Twobit asked when you looked up at him since he was the one who put his hand on your shoulder.
You gave him a small nod before taking a shaky breath, you knew you shouldn’t have been thinking about that, trying to push it to the back of your head. Cherry and Ponyboy were talking about Darry and Sodapop but you didn't pay much attention until Ponyboy got mad at Johnny making Twobit hit him upside the head, and good thing Twobit got him, because you wouldn't have been so nice.
"I'm sorry I just got a little mad." Ponyboy apologized to Johnny.
"That's all right, don't worry about it." Johnny told him, making you sigh. You hated that Johnny just accepted the way people treated him, but you knew there wasn’t anything you could do.
"We couldn't get along without you." Twobit told Ponyboy while all of you started to walk again.
"Marcia." Cherry called over to you all, finally cluing you in on her friend’s name.
"What are we gonna do?" Marcia asked when a blue mustang pulled up behind you.
"Just act normal." Cherry said looking down.
"Who are these clowns?" You asked when two guys got out of the car.
"Cherry what's going on? What are you doing?" One of them stumbled over to us obviously drunk. "Just because we got a little drunk doesn't mean-" the guy started but Cherry cut him off.
"A little?! You call reeling and passing out on the streets a little?! Bob I've told you before I'm never going out with you and your drink again I mean it!" Cherry shouted at him.
"That's no reason to go walking the street with these bums." The other one chipped in while Bob took a drink from his flask.
"Who you calling bums pal?" Twobit asked walking up next to me.
“You!" The guy exclaimed, pulling Twobit’s sweater off of Marcia.
“Randy!" She whined, making you roll your eyes.
“Listen we got 2 more of us in the back seat." Randy told you, and you couldn’t help but scoff at him trying to scare you. Twobit turned to the gate breaking the bottle he had in his hand tossing it to you before he flipped open his switch.
"Pity the back seat." Twobit told Randy holding out his switch.
"If your looking for a fight-" Randy started and you cut him off.
"I am looking for a fight." You fired back and all of you started to argue.
"We'll go with you alright? Well go with you. Just give me a minute." Cherry exclaimed, getting you all to get quiet.
"Why? We ain't scared of these bastards." You told her, tightening your grip on the bottle as you looked at Bob when he got up, making you glare at him.
"I hate fights alright. I hate em." She said walking over to Ponyboy. Bob laughed sitting back on the car taking another drink from the flask. You looked over and saw Johnny looking away from you with his head down and you pulled him behind you.
"Cherry come on." Bob called Cherry after a while of you awkwardly standing there.
"I hope I never see Dallas Winston again. If I do I'll probably fall in love with him." You heard Cherry say when she got closer to you making you mentally gag.
"You okay?" You whispered to Johnny and he nodded.
"Come on baby." Bob said when Cherry walked over to the car.
"Don't touch me." She spat at him before she got in the car. Ponyboy walked back over to you and bent down to pick up the broken glass making you shake your head.
"Ponyboy, just leave it there." You told him but he continued to pick it up, completely ignoring you.
"Just watch it grease ball." Randy told you when he started driving away.
"Says who?" Twobit asked and you looked at Johnny who looked like he’d seen a ghost.
"Johnny, what's wrong?" You asked him, making him look over at you.
"Those guys, just reminded me of the ones from that night." He explained looking scared.
"Well if they are those guys you just tell me and I'll go make them pay for what they did to you." You told him, making him nod.
"Boy those two were the best looking girls I've ever seen." Twobit thought aloud while you all walked home.
"Yeah." Ponyboy replied sounding mesmerized.
"I think someone may be a little too smitten." You joked to Twobit making Ponyboy get mad at you. "Oh hush I'm joking." You said patting him on the back befor you winked at Twobit making you both laugh. Twobit stuck something in his mouth, chewing it up before spitting it out. "What was that?" You asked him while you watched it fly away.
"Marcia's number. Probably a phony one too. I must have been out of my mind to ask for it. Girl like that wouldn't go out with me anyway. Where y'all going?" He asked.
"Home." Ponyboy said. Johnny's Mom yelled as you passed by Johnny’s house making you sigh.
"I hate when my folks are fighting. Let's go to the lot." Johnny said, catching up to you. You all sat down and you finally took off your jacket giving it to Ponyboy.
"Wear it or I kill you." You explained since he was rubbing his arms.
"Fine." He grumbled before using it as a makeshift cover.
"It's because we're greasers Pone. Might have hurt her reputation or something that's all. Don't worry about it." Johnny told Ponyboy when you both laid next to Ponyboy with you in the middle.
"Yeah I guess so." He said, sounding upset.
"Man that was a tough car huh? Mustangs they're tough." Johnny thought out loud making you turn your head to him.
"Big time socs all right. It's always the same." Ponyboy sat up quickly getting mad throwing a twig.
You got comfortable, looking up at the sky staring, deep in thought. In the distance you could hear people arguing, and there was no doubt it was Johnny's parents. Johnny started breathing heavily next to you making you furrow your brows and sit up before you looked down at him with concern.
"I can't take much more of this you guys. I'll- I'll kill my self if something. I don't know." Johnny explained, starting to freak out putting his hands on his head. You wrapped your arms around him, trying to comfort him as Ponyboy came over to you.
"Now Johnny..." Ponyboy trailed, not having a clue what to say.
"Come on you can't kill yourself." You told Johnny while you rubbed his back.
"I gotta do something." Johnny explained, his voice shaky and Ponyboy joined in on the hug. You all laid back down and you still had your arm wrapped around Johnny trying to comfort him, resting your head on his shoulder. "It seems like there's gotta be someplace without greasers or socs. Must be someplace... with just plain ordinary people."Johnny choked out the last word making you pull him closer.
"It's like that out in the country. Away from all the big towns. Out in the country. I miss going there with my folks." Ponyboy muttered the last part and you started to feel your eyes flutter close as you fell asleep with your head on Johnny's shoulder and Ponyboy leaning on you.
************
"I'm going to kill you!" Nathan yelled in your face pulling out his knife, holding it up to your face.
"You're going to kill me for something I didn't do?" You asked him, fixating my eyes on the blade.
"You didn't do anything? So you call embarrassing me in front of all my friends not doing anything?" He growled.
"You were drunk and you were telling your friends all about Dallas and I and talking about how we had been to jail. You lied to them and started telling them all these things I've done which I haven't even done. I wasn't going to let you lie about what I've done with someone Nathan." You spat in his face.
"That didn't give you the right to hit any of my friends when they came near you." He told you, his breath fanning your face and you smelled alcohol.
“Are you seriously drunk again? Nathan they were trying to do things I didn't want to do! What was I supposed to do? Just sit there? I'm sorry but I'm not you. I'm not going to let people do whatever they want to me just so I can fit in with them!" You yelled in his face.
He finally lifted the blade, and you moved to get out of he way, but it lodged itself into your shoulder. Adrenaline kicked in as you pulled it out of your shoulder, looking at it shocked you looked up at Nathan, his eyes were filled with anger. He came toward you and your instincts took over and all you could see was red while you cut Nathan's cheek when he tried to grab you. He knocked the blade out of your hand when he slugged you in the face. You could hardly move as you reached your hand out, looking for the blade. Your hand wrapped around something metal and you swung it toward him, getting him in the gut. You repeatedly stabbed him until he fell off of you, lying motionless on the ground.
"No no no no no." You muttered to yourself trying to push down on his wounds while blood came out. You let out a scream tugging at your hair, scooting away from his body. Dallas ran into my room and stopped dead in his tracks. "Dallas. I killed him. I- I killed him. Oh they're gonna give me the chair. It wasn't my fault he- he came toward me I just-" You rambled, breaking down. Dallas ran over to you pulling you up into his arms while sobbed.
"It's gonna be okay. We'll take care of it. I'll help you don't worry." Dallas reassured you. He walked you over to the bathroom, handing you clothes and a towel. "Now wash off all the blood and I'll take care of this." He told you and you stayed silent.
You turned on the water, waiting for it to get warm while you stripped yourself of your bloody clothes. You watched while all the blood pooled at the bottom of the tub, making the water turn red. Your shoulder stung when the water hit the open wound, making you avoid it when you washed up. You used the soap to scrub your hands clean of the blood, starting to cry as you began scrubbing harder even after all the blood was gone.
You got out of the shower, drying off and put on the clothes Dallas gave you, seeing that your bloody clothes were gone. You figured Dallas must have taken them to the wash. You looked at yourself in the mirror and your eyes looked puffy. You saw your shoulder in the mirror, blood still coming out of the wound. You let out a sob, punching the mirror making it shatter to pieces, some lodging into your knuckles making Dallas swung the door open making you cry harder.
"Hey it's okay. Don't worry I already got Mike to take care of the body and I burned your clothes. I cleaned your floor. Come on." Dallas told you, trying to calm you down, sitting you down on the toilet as he pulled out the first aid kit. He first patched up your knuckles, getting disinfectant and put it on the wound on your shoulder. You bit your lip when it started to sting before Dallas put a bandage on it. "Was he drunk?" Dallas asked you and you just stared at the wall nodding. "Good that's what you can tell the cops if they end up finding out about this." Dallas asked, making you look at him.
"What do you mean? Why would they come here?" You asked, worry evident in your voice.
"Y/N. It'll be fine I'm telling you just in case." Dallas explained, making youu calm down. A few hours later the doorbell rang making your heart drop.

Warnings: smoking, fighting, suggestive speech

You’d do whatever you had to in order to protect your friend, even when it means you were the one in danger.

You’d never forget when you met Johnny Cade. You’d been walking down the streets after successfully taking whatever you needed from a convenience store when you saw a group of Socs surrounding a boy who looked to be around your age. When you saw one pull out a switch you couldn’t help but make your way over to them.
"Do we have a problem here?" You asked, stepping in front of the boy.
"We just wanted to give this greaser a haircut. Maybe we could have some fun with you as well." The one that looked like the leader spoke up, smirking down at you.
"Oh I don't think you want to do that." You smirked back at him pulling out your own switch that had been almost twice the size of his. They backed away glaring at you before driving away, and you turned around looking at the boy.
"I'm Y/N." You introduced yourself holding out your hand.
"I'm Johnny" He replied looking down.
"Hey." You called him lifting his face to look at you. "You okay?" You asked him and he gave a slight nod, smiling at you softly.
**************
You were leaning against the wall of jail waiting for Dallas to get out, since he’d gotten ahold of you and told you that he was getting out early. You took a drag from your cigarette before it got pulled out of your hand, and you looked up to see Dallas.
"Dallas you owe me a bud now." You joked as you shoved him.
You watched as he pulled out his ring from a paper bag and threw it on the floor, both of you ignoring the calls for him to pick up his mess from a police officer behind you. You both knew there was no way he’d ever pick up his trash unless you were at the Curtis household.
“You know, I never liked her.” You explained when your eyes caught sight of Dallas’ Christopher hanging around his neck. You wouldn’t dare tell Dallas the truth about his girlfriend, he knew she cheated on him, but you’d left out it’d been with your now ex boyfriend.
"Race you to the house?" Dallas asked, making you smile.
"Oh you're on." You said before tripping him running away laughing. As you got closer to Curtis’ house you took a shortcut and had to jump a fence. When you got to the house, you slid as you almost ran into Johnny. "Johnny hey what's up?" You asked a little out of breath.
Before he could answer your question you heard someone calling out Darry's name. You ran around the corner and saw socs on top of Ponyboy, making you run up to one of them and rip them off punching him. Two grabbed you and held you back while another one of them hit you in the gut. You kicked the guy in front of you before slipping out of the other two guys arms. You looked around and saw the rest of the gang as you all started fighting with all the Socs. When they got into their car you all still got in a few punches through the open window as they backed up to drive away. Dallas popped up from behind you with a huge stick and threw it at the car.
"Damn." You muttered to yourself when it missed the car by a few seconds. "By the way, I won." You taunted Dallas looking up at him. He pulled you into a head lock and dragged you to the rest of the group. "Dallas" you choked, out hitting his arm.
"That’s for tripping me and cheating." He smiled before letting you go and you shoved him huffing.
"Those the same guys that got you?" You asked Johnny, putting your arm around his shoulder.
"No it was different guys." He replied, shrugging and looking down at his feet.
"Well it's our business now to get the guy that did that to your face." Dallas told him and ruffled his hair making Johnny push his hand away from his head.
"Hey Y/N, want to come with Soda, Sandy, Evie and I with Will tomorrow?" Steve asked and then looked at Ponyboy. "No kids allowed." He added, knowing he’d ask to come.
"Nah Steve, I wanna go where kids are allowed." You replied, throwing your arm over Ponyboy's shoulder. "Anyway William and I broke up." You added looking back at Steve.
"Why did you guys break up? Did he do something?" Dallas asked, sounding mad.
"No he just didn't want to keep it in his pants and I didn't feel like dealing with that every time I saw him." You lied before deciding to catch Ponyboy by surprise and you both started wrestling.
"Well Ponyboy and I will go with you to the movies tomorrow, right Pony?" Johnny called over in your direction once Dallas declined Steve's offer for tomorrow.
"Yeah." Ponyboy called back before pushing you off.
"Dani let's go." You heard Dallas call, and you walked over to him holding the gate open for you.
"I see you got your Christopher back Dal." Johnny observed when Dallas closed the gate to look back at them.
"Yeah, broad was two timing me while I was in jail, but it's cool. See you guys tomorrow." Dallas nodded walking over to you. You jumped on his back while you started making your way over to Buck's.
"You know, one day I'm gonna find the guys that did that to Johnny and beat the shit out of him." You thought out loud after a while resting your chin on Dallas' shoulder.
"Not without me you won't." He replied, setting you down at the bottom of the stairs.
"We'll see." You said, giving him a small shove to get him to move faster. You both got ready for bed, and you got on the floor with your pillow and extra blanket you always had laying around.
"You're supposed to sleep on the bed today." Dallas nudged you with his foot.
"Dal I've had the bed for the past week." You told him snuggling the pillow. "I like the floor better, I don't mind it. I'm used to sleeping on the floor anyway." You added.
"Okay then, but if you ever want the bed you better tell me." He told you, climbing into bed. You mumbled an okay, trying to clear your head before sleep consumed you

A/N: Just a quick disclaimer, if you see this story on Wattpad under the title “Dallas Winston’s Twin Sister” it is not a copy or I’m not trying to copy it, it is my story from well over two years ago that I am just rewriting and actually finishing
Warnings: Dallas being Dallas, fighting
Summary: The only things you and your brother cared about were each other, and your best friend Johnny. You cared about the rest of the gang, but Johnny was like the younger brother you both never had. You’d do whatever you had to in order to protect your friend, even when it means you were the one in danger.
-------------------------------------
When you got to the drive in, the movie was already playing and all four of you slid through the hole under a gate right by the show one by one. You passed this one mustang, and you could hear this girl arguing with her boyfriend making you laugh. The four of you hopped over a railing and got seats almo. The same girl that was arguing with her boyfriend sat right in front of us with her friend making me groan internally.
"I'm freezing man." Ponyboy complained shifting in his seat uncomfortably.
"Why didn't you bring a coat stupid?" Dallas asked while he tried to turn on his match to light his cigarette.
"I forgot." Ponyboy muttered looking at the movie. You slipped off your jacket, handing it over to Ponyboy.
"Here." You told him, but he shook his head making you roll your eyes putting it back on. Dallas went to the seat next to some redhead and was finally able to light his match, making both of the girls jump. One started giggling and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes.
"Some cute redhead huh?" Dallas told you making the other girl giggle. "Are you a real redhead?" He asked the girl going up to her real close and not to anyone's surprise the other girl giggled again.
"Come on Dal." Johnny said and you looked over at him shaking your head. If Johnny told him to stop, Dallas would probably get mad and you didn't need Dallas mad at Johnny.
"Are you real?" Dallas asked again as he put his feet up on the chair next to her making him fall out of his chair making all of you laugh while he got back up. "How can I find out if this is your real red hair? If this is the same red hair that you have on your uh" Dallas started and you smirked trying not to laugh since you knew what he was gonna say next. "These eyebrows. Is it?" He finished and you scoffed making him shoot you a look. Dallas laughed to himself, sitting back down making you shake your head.
"Cut it out Dal." Johnny told him looking back at the girls. You nudged him with your leg silently telling him to be quiet. Dallas was messing with the back of the girls chair like a child and you had to hold back a laugh because you could tell she was getting annoyed.
"Get your feet off my chair and shut your trap." The girl said over her shoulder to Dallas.
"Who's gonna make me huh? Your boyfriend?" Dallas asked her as Johnny got up.
"I'm gonna get a coke." He told you while he left making Dallas have to put down his legs.
"Leave her alone Dal." Ponyboy told him and you pinched Ponyboy making him hit your hand. No one tells Dallas what to do, he’d never listen. You saw the giggly girl whisper something to the redhead, making your eyebrows knit together.
"Sure whatever you say honey." Dallas told Ponyboy, making you smirk and give Dallas a small high five.
"You better leave us alone or I'll call the cops." The red threatened him making you laugh.
"Oh my my. You got me scared to death. What, what am I gonna do now Y/N huh? This girl's making me shake." Dallas joked, making you laugh even more.
"Why don't you leave us alone? Be nice and leave us alone!" The girl said getting mad cutting Dallas off from saying something else.
"I'm never nice." Dallas replied, getting close to her again. "Can I interest you in a Coca-Cola or a 7-up?" Dallas asked, almost sounding polite.
"Get lost hood!" She screamed in Dallas' face making you glare at her.
"Hey I'm sorry. I didn't, I didn't know you had this problem with, yelling in my face. Okay, all right I'll go. I know when I'm not wanted." Dallas explained getting up and walking away.
"Are you gonna start in on us now too?" The redhead asked, turning around to face you.
"Please, you're both not my type." You joked, giving Ponyboy a small shove.
"No." Ponyboy replied to her softly.
"You don't look the type anyway. What's your name?" She asked Ponyboy as she looked at you cautiously.
"Ponyboy Curtis." Ponyboy told her, shifting in his seat.
"That's an original name." She told him laughing a little while she ignored you. You didn't really care since you already didn't like her.
"Yeah. My dad, he was an original person. I got a brother named Sodapop. It even says so on his birth certificate." Ponyboy told her, sounding excited. If you got money every time he said that you'd probably be able to bail Dallas out of jail whenever he goes.
"My name is Sherri but my friends call me Cherry because of my hair." She told him, smiling at him softly.
"Yeah I know. We go to the same school. You're a cheerleader." Ponyboy told her adding the last part when she gave him a confused look.
"You don't look old enough to be going to high school." The other girl told him.
"What's a nice boy like you doing hanging around with that trash?" Cherry asked, making you roll your eyes.
"Dally's my buddy and Dani's brother. I'm a grease too. We're all friends." Ponyboy told her, sounding upset.
"I'm sorry I didn't know." She told him, sounding like she felt bad, but there was no doubt in your mind that it was probably fake.
Johnny finally came back from getting coke, and you stopped paying attention to the conversation between Cherry and Ponyboy. You grabbed Johnny's coke out of his hand, drinking some giving him a small smile. He looked at you like he was about to complain about you getting some but, but you quickly kissed his cheek.
"Thanks Johnny." You laughed making him blush. Dallas walked up with a countless amount of drinks, and handed them to each of you.
"Here, since I stole some from you you can have the one with more in it." You told Johnny, handing him your cup, switching with his.
"Here, I thought this might cool you off." Dallas told Cherry, handing her a drink making you laugh a little.
"Maybe that will cool you off greaser. When you learn to talk and act decent I might cool off too!" Cherry exclaimed while she threw the drink in Dallas' face.
"Fiery huh? Just the way I like it ‘em." Dallas replied, getting close to Cherry.
"Leave her alone Dallas." You told him when you saw Johnny was about to say something.
"What'd you say?" He asked you, getting mad.
"You heard me. I said leave her alone." You told him standing up. You thought it was better to have Dallas get mad at you than Johnny.
"What'd you say you little shit? What'd you say to me?" He asked again, getting more mad.
"You heard me, kid brother." You told him getting mad right back. You were born before a few minutes Dallas and you always used it to your advantage when you had to.
"You wise ass." He mumbled as Johnny pulled you back down to sit next to him. Dallas got up pushing his chair making it fall before he walked away.
"Thanks." Johnny whispered to you and you nodded smiling at him.
"Now you blew it." Ponyboy told you, making you scoff.
"He's my brother little Curtis, I can talk to him however I please." You told him, stealing a piece of popcorn from his container.
"Thank you. He had me scared to death." She nodded to you, giving you attention for the first time that night.
"Sure didn't show it. Ain't nobody talk to Dal like that." Johnny chipped in.
"From what I saw, she does." Cherry replied looking at you.
"That's different, I'm his sister, I'm allowed to talk to him however I like." You shrugged, drinking your coke.
"Why don't y'all sit up here with us so you can protect us?" The other girl asked the three of you, smiling.
"What do you think man?" Johnny asked Ponyboy who had a smile on his face.
"Might as well." Ponyboy agreed, wiping the smile off his face pretty quickly. You all sat in the empty chairs near the girls, and got settled in.
"How old are y'all?" The other girl asked.
"14" "16" "17" You all told them.
"Huh I thought both you boys were-" Cherry started and she said 16 while her friend said 14. "You look a little older though." Cherry told you and you shrugged.
"Go through stuff you might look older too red." You told her, giving her your own nickname, making her look away awkwardly after that.
"How come y'all ain't scared of us like you was Dally?" Johnny asked them.
"You two are too sweet looking to scare anyone. You're surprisingly just like your brother though." Cherry replied. aiming the last part toward you making you shrug. People always said that you were like a girl version of Dallas. You’d been to jail about the same amount of times, maybe Dallas a few more than you, but the gang knew me and knew I could be sweet when I wanted to be. "Besides I know about the Winston’s. You and Johnny don't look mean." She told Ponyboy, making you furrow your brows, wondering what she meant.
"Yeah right. We're young and innocent." Ponyboy said, sounding like an upset child.
"No, you're just not dirty." She told him.
"Come on Dal and Y/N are okay. I mean they're tough and all but they're both cool if you get to know them." Johnny told her, sticking up for the both of you making you smile at him.
"He'd leave you alone if he knew who you were." Ponyboy explained.
"Well I'm glad he doesn't know us. I kind of admire him." Cherry thought out loud making you mentally gag.
"All right greaser you're dead!" You heard from behind you as someone grabbed Johnny. Johnny jumped out of his skin, and you all looked and saw Twobit.
"Hey Twobit." Ponyboy called from where he was sitting.
"This hair's out of place." Twobit laughed running his switchblade over Johnny's hair.
"Do you mind?" You asked the other girl, reaching for her soda. She shook her head, handing it to you making you nod as a thank you to her.
"Here kid. Have a beer it'll settle your nerves." Twobit told Johnny, handing him the beer he’d brought. You sucked up some soda through the straw before spitting it at Twobit before handing back the girl her drink.
"That's not funny Twobit." You told him while he wiped his face.
"Well who do we got here your great grandmothers?" Twobit joked making the girl laugh. "What are you young ladies doing hanging out with these greasers anyway huh? Twobit asked, trying to sound like a Soc.
"Dal was bothering them and they wanted us to come sit with them." Johnny told Twobit.
"He was huh?" Twobit asked near your face, squeezing your shoulder hard getting you back for spitting coke in his face. "Where is old Dal now anyway?" He asked.
"Yeah where is old Dally?" You heard someone asked and you looked up to see Tim Shepard.
"He left Tim." Ponyboy told him, picking at his popcorn.
"Hey I know he slashed my tires." Tim accused, angrily looking over at you.
"Look Tim. He left. He's not here. Really. You guys seen Dally?" Ponyboy asked all of you winking and you all said no.
"Yeah well I'll be looking for him. Come on Winston." Tim told you, making you look over at him confused.
"What?" You asked as he was staring at you.
"Come on we are going to go find your brother." He explained, walking up to you, grabbing your upper arm pulling you out of my chair.
"Hey Tim if Dally did slash your tires it's not Y/N's fault." Twobit told him as he was about to get up.
"If I don't find Dally then someone’s gotta pay for it. Got to give him a message now don't I?" Tim asked as he pulled you close to him. You looked up at Tim while he looked down at you, and he had a look in his eye that was meaner than usual.
"Y/N." You heard from behind you and you looked back seeing Johnny.
"It'll be alright Johnny don't worry." You told him while Tim dragged you away.
"Hey I can walk by myself okay." You spat at him, pulling your arm out of his grip.
"Doesn't look like it." He fired back when he saw you grabbing your side where William had kicked you earlier. "What happened?" He asked, almost sounding worried.
"Don't act like you care Shepard." You rolled your eyes as you kept walking. He muttered something under his breath and you were about to say something, but he grabbed you by the neck with a firm grip. "There he is." He whispered to me. "Hey Winston!" Tim called Dallas who was talking to a girl. Dallas looked over and quickly walked over to us, ignoring everybody around him.
"Let her go." Dallas glared at Tim.
"I know you slashed my tires Dallas." Tim told him, tightening his grip around your neck.
"He didn't slash them Tim. I did." You choked out, lying and saw Dallas look at you in shock.
"No I-" Dallas started but you cut him off.
"Don't try and cover for me Dallas. I slashed the tires." You told Tim, and his grip loosened. He spun me around and you got a good blow to the face. He threw you to Dallas and he caught you holding you tightly to him.
"Do it again Winston and it'll be worse." Tim spat over to us and you sighed when he walked away.
"Do something like that again and I'm gonna kill you." Dallas explained, shoving you.
"You already fought someone once today because of me. I just returned the favor." You told him, and probably made him even more mad. "I probably won't come back tonight because I'm gonna stay with Johnny and make sure he's okay because he's been acting strange lately." I told Dallas and he nodded smiling a little. "Wait." You stopped before walking away. "What did Johnny tell you earlier that he wouldn't tell me?" You asked, looking up at Dallas.
"Now you'll just have to ask him yourself now won't you?" Dallas told you, smiling and avoided the question. You groaned to yourself, walking back toward the drive in and you saw the boys walking with Cherry and her friend before you ran up behind them, jumping onto Twobit's back to scare him.
