Winter 14, Laundry day (cloudy) – Part 1

Luckily, there wasn't much snow around. I looked at the new calendar and realized that tomorrow would be Sindri's birthday. I had to get busy! But first, I wanted to go to Mayor Miago's house to update my map. I saw a lot of buildings on the streets and in the square that I'd like to know more about. I got on my bike and headed to the square. I tried knocking on Miago's door.

No response... I'd try again later. Sindri loves food, so I had to think of something good to give. I immediately thought of Melon and their bar. If I found something to trade, they'd definitely gave me something useful. I went into the woods behind the square to search a bit.

Melon explained to me that he knows Sindri well and that they're his favorites (or at least the ones on his menu), so I can be sure of getting them tomorrow! YAY! Saying goodbye, I climbed down from the tree and decided to try at Miago's house again.

Winter 14, Laundry day (cloudy) – Part 5

Miago was finally there. He explained to me that he had gone surfing behind the house. I explained to him that I needed an update on the map, since I had only noted two things (or rather Lime had noted them for me). Miago went towards his books (Mayor stuff I guess) and copied various things. There was a lot of things I wasn't aware of or hadn't noticed while walking around these days! The mayor also reminded me that there is an Art festival tomorrow and that I should bring something about it to the library tomorrow morning.

Too bad I didn't have any material, so I headed towards the general store next door in the hope that Logic (that's apparently the owner's name) has something to exchange for the Cineraria I found earlier.

I entered the shop and it was full of objects of all kinds, I looked around a bit but I didn't see what I needed. So I asked the crow in front of me (Logic!). He explained to me how his shop works and that I can find anything, but that I had to convince him to get the materials I needed. Ok then...

After quite a bit of negotiation, I managed to come out on top, getting some canvases and paints to prepare my masterpiece for tomorrow's party... if today's attempt goes badly, I can try again tomorrow morning before taking everything to the library.

I headed to the tent on my trusty bike and made myself comfortable to create a masterpiece. I really didn't want to make a fool of myself.

Winter 14, Laundry day (cloudy) – Part 7

I wouldn't have called it my greatest masterpiece. Among the things I had available for inspiration was Poinsettia... but I don't think I succeeded. Oh well, after all, I'm an aspiring magician, not an aspiring painter! And as I continue to think about my painting, my stomach growled... in the rush to get everything done, I forgot to eat! Tomorrow I'll get some berries from the nearby bush just in case (hoping some other animal hasn't gotten there before me). For now, all that's left to do is go to bed fasting. (╥﹏╥)

Reminder that, over this next week, there may still be some last-minute changes concerning drop-outs or anyone we can’t contact. If you see any problems (misspellings, changed usernames, etc.) please let us know asap.

What next? Teams have just over a week, until the Jan 11th, to:

Get in contact! If you haven’t already received an ask from your team mates, go send them one! Exchanging Skype names is recommended since it’s by far the easiest way to talk as a group. Emails and google/one drive are also good for sharing documents with one another. (Be aware that if you send an ask with your email in it’ll probably be blocked. This isn’t an issue when you reply to an ask.)

Get to know each other! Try a few ice breakers; talking about your fandoms, ships etc. is a pretty good starting point. Brainstorm for team names (and then one of you send us in an ask so we can add it on here!) to build team unity!

Discuss your team tactics! Brainstorm ideas for themes/AUs. Who will be swimming which stroke? Which ships will you do? Who can draw, write or anything else?

Finalise a choice of three themes! On the 10th/11th of January the theme claiming form will be open to take your choice of themes. On that weekend, one person from every team should fill out the form linked above and on the blog with their team’s top three themes/AUs. If their are any of the same idea sent in (i.e. mer! or Future!AU) it will be decided on a first come first serve basis, so your back-up choices are important!
