AU: winter and siyeon are back in time⏳
During one of Judith Regulus' birthday banquets, the emperor is hit by a poisoned arrow from a mercenary. There is no cure, and a day later Callisto dies, taking with him the life of Penelope, who managed to instruct the inhabitants of the palace.
But little Judith, unable to cope with the loss of her parents, accidentally uses a powerful spell on Winter, returning him twenty years ago - to the last day of the festival.
To the very day Yvonne Eckhart went missing.
Winter decides to take a desperate step - he goes to the duchy, confesses to the duke that he is a magician and knows the future, finds Yvonne at the festival, saves her and kills Leila, who was in a vulnerable state.
In gratitude, Berdandi, who at that time was only sixteen years old, asks for only two things - to find a girl with crimson hair in the slums and support the crown prince in the war. The Duke agrees, although he hardly believes it.
Winter spends a lot of time with the Eckharts and helps Penelope get comfortable, teaches her everything and supports her.
Everything goes smoothly until the day the crown prince returns from the war. That evening, everything changes. Penelope became like a different person - a cheerful girl abruptly became withdrawn and confused. Winter takes her to a conversation, from which he learns that another person is now in Penelope's body, because the real Penelope has been dead for a long time. Winter understands everything and offers to help.
“I think you will get along”
Much to the surprise of the Marquis, Penelope returns with her neck slashed. Now she refuses to even catch his eye, but Winter does not give up and continues to persuade her. And when a letter arrives from the crown prince with an invitation to a hunting competition (Callisto is a crap romantic, it looks more like threats), he tricks her into going there.
Everything develops the same way as in the previous life, but with one exception - there are no attacks by Leila's people. Winter constantly pushes Callisto and Penelope in various situations, preventing the Eckharts and the Empress's relatives from getting into their relationship. Defends her in court on charges of treason (now Derrick does not behave like an asshole and supports Penelope).
Penelope and Yvonne build a great relationship and support each other. Yvonne often plays pranks on her sister when she gets into a "cold war with the Crown Prince", and Penelope teases her when Yvonne fell in love with Winter. Derrick overprotects the sisters and forbids them everything, and Reynold helps them run away on dates to their lovers (although he constantly grumbles) and secretly sends letters (if only his girls were happy). The duke gladly accepts Winter at home, but he swears with Callisto 24/7 and exchanges mutual insults, but supports the prince in the fight for the throne.
Siyeon scores 100% with Callisto, stays in Eorka and finds a quiet life with his family.
