Every time I feel sad about having to use a monofin instead of having a tail, I think about Winter. If Winter can swim with a prosthetic tail, so can I.

Dolphin Tale was one of the first pieces of whale media I saw, and will always have a special place in my heart.

Common Dolphins. I even drew the famous Winter, who was rescued off the coastal waters of Florida. Her story is explained in the book Dolphin Tale, which was then adapted into a movie. She resided at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and sadly passed away in Nov. 2021.
