Teamwork Steve Rogers x Reader 619 words What I love: It's silly! Steve is adorable and a lot of the interaction happens outside of the dialogue - I thoroughly enjoy the dialogue though. And the song is I want a hippopotamus for Christmas! Season: Christmas

Surprise Bucky Barnes x Reader 154 words What I love: It's cute, it's snowy and a little everyday mundane, with comfort offered at the end. Season: Winter

I love the plot - it's possibly the most unique I've come up with. I also love this Steve, who is willing to go a little dark for the things he thinks he wants. Season: Autumn/Fall

hurts like hell Alpha!Dean Winchester x Beta!Fem!Reader 2.9k words What I love: the aaaaangst!! It's so delicious. If I had the time and the patience, I feel I could write an entire novel for their story. But I managed to get it written in under 3k. An arranged marriage that dooms a love story, with the winter weather as a backdrop. Season: Winter

The Fallout Alpha!Dean Winchester x Beta!Fem!Reader 3/ ? parts What I love: more aaaaangst!!! Can love overcome a threat of true mates when the reader is only a beta? And when Dean suffers from assholery thanks to the Alpha hormones? Will find out whenever I get around to writing the next chapter. Season: Winter

You Don't Own Me Dean Winchester x Witch!Reader x Sam Winchester 1k words What I love: Enemies to lovers. You get both of them. You're a witch. There is some daddy issues with Crowley, but that adds a little threat which makes it more interesting. Season: Fall/Halloween

Day 24 of Fandom Holiday Gifts

Today's task was to read a winter inspired fic. So I read I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm by ashyblondwaves on AO3. This was so wholesome and fluffy, I couldn't stop giggling like a lil kid the whole time I was reading it. I really enjoyed reading this fic, esp the part where they made a pillow fort and their small dance in it. I also decided to listen to the song mentioned in the fic (La vi en rose by Édith Piaf) and it suits them a lot! That's all for today and I hope you have a very merry, happy Christmas :D

Winter fic roundup

Well, considering I live in a place that barely has a winter, it's a miracle I even have any to list here! Thank goodness for holiday fests.

Stickers of old men and a thousand yen (Schitt's Creek) not gonna lie, the title of this is one of my favorite things i've ever written.

The birthday kiss between David and Patrick didn't happen, and now it's Christmas. What are they going to do when they draw each other in the town Secret Santa gift exchange?

As long as you love me so (Check Please) oh hey I wrote something! A Zimbits future fic.

It's the first Christmas since Jack retired, and it's not going as smoothly as he'd hoped it would.

[Podfic] Merry Christmas, I'm Yours (Check Please) this fic by @doggernaut is so so so good, I beg you to read it or listen. It's so lovely and angsty with a happy ending.

It takes Jack only a couple months after graduation to realize he's in love with Bitty.

It takes him almost 20 years to actually do something about it.

The Niffler's Garden is the most prestigious wizarding nursery school in England and has been for the last century or more. Harry Potter's boys are both enrolled as pupils at the Garden. When he volunteers to assist with the Yule pageant, he has no idea that he'll be working closely with another parent, Draco Malfoy. Although they haven't seen each other much since their own school days, Harry faults Malfoy for not being a hands-on dad to little Scorpius. Will the intense weeks of preparation fan the fires of enmity or something else entirely?

Wintry Fix

Thanks for the tag, @jamilas-pen. My itty bitty catalogue includes one winter story, a submission to Frozen Over last year. (E)Tea for Two was the easiest thing I've ever written. The epistolary format made me feel as if I were skipping school, or in this case, the house of horrors that is description. The trolling and snark and intrigue were ever so much fun. It was also the hardest thing to write. I easily spent four times as much on skin-ning, HTMLing, and various formatting challenges as I did coming up with the words. My inspiration for the bit about betting a night came from a real-life friend whose boyfriend suggested and then won the bet of a night. They broke up soon afterward. In my "fixed it" version, David lost the bet, but gave his night to Patrick. HEA ensued. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ D: You bet me I couldn't produce 75 personalized calendars before the party. P: I didn't make a bet D: So what's the bet? P: There’s no bet. D: Let's bet a night. P: A what? D: A night. If I win you have to do whatever I say for an entire night. Vice versa if you win. D: Patrick? Are you still there? Forget I said anything. I was just joking around. How about a drink at the Racine for the bet? P: I'll do it. D: You mean bet for a drink? P: No, the other thing. D: A night? P: What are the parameters? D: The ground rules are nothing criminal and nothing that will require hospitalization. That's about it. P: Most broken bones don't involve hospitalization. D: Broken bones? OMG. I'm not a monster. And it's not like that. There’s always a safe word. P: You've done this before? Were you the winner or the loser? D: I was technically the loser. Patrick? You keep cutting out. Let's talk about this in person. I bet your ears are pink and your eyes are saucered out and your palms are sweaty. P: Only one of those things. D: Which thing? P: Well, I can't see my ears or my eyes. D: So your palms are sweaty. P: Not in a bad way. D: OMG. Can you come to my office? Holiday/Winter Fics

Patrick couldn't believe his luck when Schitt’s Creek College canceled classes due to an overnight snowstorm. It had been a bumpy road for him after transferring here suddenly, leaving his previous university and life behind once realizing some hard truths about himself. The one bright spot had been his roommate, friend, and now mega-crush David making it all worthwhile. Would this magical winter day possibly lead to them becoming something more?

Adelina had tried her best to make up for lost ground with the Rose children, including celebrating special childhood holiday traditions. When a visit to a mall Santa goes a little sideways, a kind boy and some Christmas magic prove that even if it takes a few decades for it to happen, David can have everything he has always wanted.

It's been such a crazy time for me and I've been trying to bury myself in some warm holiday goodness. Wanted to share my winter and holiday fics in the hopes one or all may bring some warmth or holiday cheer to someone else who may not have read them.

The only winter holiday fics I've written are in the Schitt's Creek Fandom for David and Patrick.

I'll Weather Any Storm With You (E) I wrote this for Frozen Over last year: David and Patrick meet by the fireplace at a ski lodge and meet for dinner. After a dinner mishap, things look bleak until a winter storm comes in and David finds himself cold and alone... can he find someone to keep him warm on this cold, stormy night?

2. Made With Love (T) Snow falls and Patrick has to clean up the driveway. David doesn't want to help, but there's something else he can do for his husband.

3. Christmas Revelation (M) This was my first completed fic in this fandom. @ineveryuniverse-sc co-wrote a couple parts of this fic with me. Patrick goes to his parent's house for Christmas in the hopes of telling them about David. David stays behind and has a difficult time being apart from Patrick for their first Christmas. Can David really stay away? A story about Patrick and David's first Christmas.....the good, the bad and the ugly.

4. The Purrrrfect Gift (M) I co-wrote this with @edie4711. We had so much fun with this one!

A sound startles David out of his thoughts. A high-pitched, mournful sort of sound.

What the fuck is that?

It’s coming from the sunroom at the back of the house. It sounds like a…bird? No, it can’t be a bird, it’s after dark. It’s definitely an animal sound, though. Owl? A baby? David shudders, then shakes it off; it’s a ridiculous thought. No one alive would think leaving a baby on David Rose’s doorstep in the night is a good idea.

5. Merry Christmas... Couldn't Miss This One This Year

I wrote this one under another pseud that I've since renamed to match VanillaHigh00. I love this holiday tune and had to write a fic about it. "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses.
