Winter Homestead Hobbies
As the days grow shorter and the chill settles in, I’m turning my focus indoors to embrace some cozy, creative hobbies this winter! 🌨️✨ Here’s what I’ve got planned:
🪡 Sewing
I’m finally dusting off my sewing machine and starting with simple projects like reusable tote bags and maybe even an apron or two. Eventually, I’d love to work up to making my own clothes. There’s just something so satisfying about creating something with your own hands!
🧴 Crafting Lotions & Body Butters
Winter skin can be such a challenge, so this year I’m diving into homemade skincare. Shea butter, coconut oil, and a few drops of essential oils are all it takes to make nourishing, natural products that are free of unnecessary additives. Bonus? These make awesome gifts! 🎁
🕯️ Soy Candle-Making
I’m all about that warm, candlelit vibe during winter evenings, so I’m learning how to make my own soy candles. Soy wax burns cleaner than paraffin, and I can customize the scents and containers to match my mood or décor. Lavender in a mason jar, anyone?
Winter is the perfect season to slow down, learn something new, and create a little magic indoors. What are your go-to winter hobbies? Let’s swap ideas in the comments or reblogs! 💬❄️
