Back to the real world after the loveliest few days at home- it even snowed!! Now I’ve got my usual post-Christmas panic on and am trying to work super hard! Sadly I didn’t get snowed in at home though so back to work tomorrow for me.

I have so much catching up to do on this so it’s going under a cut!

I got up early as always and we did presents, then lunch, which was yummy but lonely with just my parents, then I delivered leftover lunch to my aunt and cousins and did a present swap, then I did a present swap with my best friend, and then I came home and we Skyped the cousins to see them open their presents! We watched TV after that

26th December- what do you do the day after Christmas?

Usually, go see my aunt and cousins on the other side of the family and repeat Christmas but with more alcohol and leftovers for lunch (except usually now I’m the driver so get cut off from the cava after lunch), this year we just stayed home.

27th December- what was the best moment?

I just loved being at home. Seeing my parents and my dog and actually staying the night at my house for the first time since March was irreplaceable this year ❤️

28th December- what are you grateful for?

I’m grateful that they’ve finally rolled out nhs staff testing finally as it’s the only reason I had a chance to get home this year. I’m also grateful that my family are safe and I was able to spend a whole 5 days at home

29th December- Christmas or New Years?

Christmas 100%. New year is good but it’s just not AS good

December 2nd - what is your favorite thing about winter

probably the cozy feeling... you just dont get that relief from being cozy and warm inside your room with some good food and some tea at any other time of year. Sitting around the Christmas tree with the living room illuminated by the lights is such a magical feeling💕

whoo! i feel like im starting to get back into the studying routine just in time for finals next week. I’m not very happy w/ my december bujo cover but its the first i’ve hand drawn and my second total, so i’m fine with letting it slide haha... i got a quiz done as well as studying for my sociology final and doing some makeup bio!

It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas 🎄 I’m revising to Christmas music and Christmas candles! Today I attended a virtual meeting which was so long, went for a mini food shop because the mechanic never came, made flapjacks, made winter veg spiced soup, am now revising, then I need to prep a slow cooker veg chilli for tomorrow and do some more revision. I’m also Skyping my parents later and need to get some anniversary and Christmas presents for my boyfriend.

Quarantine fall study challenge: what’s your plan for the upcoming week?

I’m on call which is scary so hopefully I’ll survive that, get my car to come back to life, and I’m decorating for Christmas next weekend!!!

Today I braved Asda before they go into tier 3, and it was absolutely dire and I only got half of what I wanted yet spent £120 somehow? Then I came home, cooked all the bargain reduced meat I got into actual meals for the freezer, made a homemade costa tassimo gingerbread latte (with cream of course), decorated my flat, and then I did some work with some wine whilst watching vicar of dibley Christmas specials. Oh and I made some gingerbread. Tomorrow I have a webinar, and I need to make some soup for lunches next week. Also sorry I wasn’t here all week bring on call really took it out of me lmao

Quarantine fall study challenge: how did this week go for you?

Ngl it was brutal. I’m tired, I’m sick of work and I’m stressed about the exam. Very much looking forward to Friday’s half day so I can go see my bf and also just not be in this city for a while.

3rd December - What is your least favourite thing about winter?

see, winter used to be my favorite season until i started to drive. it’s definitely having to drive everywhere in the snow, hands down.

4th December - What is an unpopular opinion that you have about winter?

the cold can be refreshing! it can get down to -60 windchill here, but there’s something that feels very crisp in your lungs about stepping outside in the super cold weather

5th December - Are you usually busy during winter?

yes sadly :( finals are next week for me and our school only gets a three week break between semesters
