So where's the Holby winter trailer at?

so it’s a season of cameos... eh, could be worse I guess. I’m really hoping that Mr T isn’t the mysterious santa for that xmas ep, but from the winter trailer, looks like it might be.... elliot is the santa holby deserves damnit.

obv I was hoping for more hanssen, but they already had him wringing his hands over fredrik this whole year, then rox, I guess there’s only so much they can show without it getting stale (it’s only because there’s noone who actually knows him left......)

the action looks like it’s back on darwin -- nicki, mo (temp), cameron, frieda, jac, zosia, the new woman (?)... I guess the other newbs are shafted to AAU with ric and serena, leaving keller squad as is.

the young adult unit is a good idea and I’m glad they’re showing it -- my sister had cancer as a young adult and there was a constant frustration with there not being much resources available for that age-group -- no longer kids, not old people dying of cancer. cancer kiddies get loads, boob cancer gets loads... all the other weird and boring types get nothin’ and young adults with cancer (and other serious ailments obv) is just awkward as opposed to older folks where it’s like ‘yeah ok’.

so yeah, good for them. I hope they keep it around rather than a temporary ‘trauma unit’ or ‘cardiac trauma unit’ jobby. good to have youthful faces on the show too.

Holby Winter trailer 2018

Any idea when the winter trailer is going to be released soon??? All the scenes from the autumn trailer have occurred and I wondered if anyone had any ‘inside knowledge’ as such as to when it will be released???

Some idle speculation following the winter trailer..

A few thoughts which came to mind upon reviewing Serena’s scenes in the trailer. I’ve no idea if they mean anything more profound than mere sleep-deprived musings, but here’s a couple of points which caught my eye...

A new locket?

Apart from looking so much more at peace with herself than in her last episode, it looks as if Serena’s got a new necklace- has her usual gold chain locket been replaced by a new pendant (a gift from a certain absent trauma surgeon perhaps?) 

This necklace/silver chain also seems to make an appearance in some of the AAU behind the scenes photos, which suggests it’s a more permanent addition to Serena’s attire (like the locket).

Somewhere outside of the hospital?

Also, it appears that Serena is meeting Hanssen at a mystery venue more than once (different blouses, different earrings), including the pink blouse from her first day back at Holby (plus gold earrings) and a new red patterned blouse  teamed with green-tinted earrings (which also appear in a separate scene). It looks like a bar/restaurant or even a theatre-esque venue from the looks of the furnishings and the presence of other people who are seated at tables.

Either way, I think it’ll be great to see how her return unfolds. I’d be really up for seeing her support Hanssen in the same way he eventually supported her in her grief after Elinor’s death and arranged her sabbatical. They’ve both lost their only child barely a few months apart, on hospital premises, with existing regrets over their relationship with their children (not spending enough time together etc.) and unanswered questions hanging over their children’s individual behaviour around the time of their deaths, so it will be interesting to see how Serena might be able to support Hanssen in what looks like a potential PTSD/breakdown storyline brewing for him.

I can’t wait for February! :D
