You crochet and knit right? (sorry if not remembering right, brain is kinda fuzzy atm) I was wondering which was more energy and memory friendly? I want to try crochet but not sure if it'd be worth it. I've tried knitting with very failed attempts where I forget what I was doing.
I do both, yes. I personally prefer knitting, but have many friends who prefer to crochet.
What you can do is really going to depend on you - my brain does not interpret crochet as well as knit. It takes a lot more time and energy. But my friend Amanda can do amazing crochet things and can not understand knitting at all.
Both of them can take a lot of energy and memory skills, depending on what it is you’re trying to do. The simpler patterns and smaller projects may be better for you in both knitting and crochet. For example, instead of doing a sweater, try a couple of hot pads or washcloths, or maybe a scarf. Or if you want to try a larger project, maybe something with panels that needs to be sewn together at the end.
Since there is really no way to know if it’s something that might work better for you, it would probably be worth at least trying. A basic hook and a skein of cheap yarn should run about $10 or so (US). If you can do it, and like it, then spending a bit more on a new hobby may be worth it!
Some links to basic projects that might be a good start for you can be found here.
