Get into the winter spirit with this tasty burger. It has a juicy beef patty, melted cheddar cheese, sweet caramelized onions, and tangy cranberry sauce. It has just the right amount of sweet and savory for a warm winter meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 burger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1 cup caramelized onions. 1/2 cup cranberry sauce. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 tomato slices. Salt and pepper to taste. Olive oil for grilling.
Instructions: Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat. Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. Add salt and pepper to each patty. Place the burger buns on a grill or in a pan and brush them with olive oil. Toast them until they are just beginning to brown. Put the burger patties on the grill and cook them for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking. Starting with a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, add a tomato slice, then a burger patty with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and a big dollop of cranberry sauce. Add the other half of the bun on top, and if you need to, use a toothpick to hold it in place. Enjoy your Winter Sandwich Burger while it's still hot!
