These days I find it hard to put original sketches up. Although I like to do so, I can be a very self-conscious person when it comes to my talents (don't even get me started with my writing). 1- My style is changing. And before it can get better, it has to get worse. (Trust me on this. If you can't see for yourself, just ask any artist. Ask my teachers, too.) 2- I'm trying to wean away from my anime style, but doing so makes me feel like I'm losing a bit of myself-- what made me start drawing in the first place. 3- Why am I getting away from anime you may ask? There's several reasons, one being that yes, although I watch/read it, I've somewhat outgrown it. 4- I am trying to challenge myself and become original. Anyway, the list goes on. So if you're wondering "What's with the absence of sketches?" Well, it's not only school keeping me busy, but the reasons stated above…. To put in a nutshell, I'm a little embarrassed of my sketches. They're not fridge-worthy in my opinion. Which is funny because just as I was getting a little frustrated about this picture my mom came in and told me this looked lovely.
