A beautiful cranberry tart with a light snowflake pie crust that is great for winter get-togethers or holiday parties.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon cornstarch. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1 refrigerated pie crust. 2 tablespoons milk. 1 tablespoon powdered sugar.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a mixing bowl, combine cranberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface. Cut out snowflake shapes using a cookie cutter. Place the pie crust onto a tart pan, pressing gently to fit the shape. Trim any excess crust. Fill the crust with the cranberry mixture. Arrange the pie crust snowflakes on top of the cranberry filling. Brush the snowflakes with milk. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
