I love how the villian of every graceling book is leck (as a child, as a king, even when he's dead) except in winterkeep where the villian is the evil partisan government

I think it's a lovely throughline in the Graceling books that Bitterblue carries around aspects of the people she loves in the form of things they taught her: math skills from her mom; knife skills from Katsa; "there's no shame in crawling when you can't walk" from Po; "you're stronger than the way this makes you feel" from Giddon.
